Scattered Thoughts

I moved the peat pellets into their new home today.  I lugged 80 pounds of wet potting soil up to my third floor apartment.

When my downstairs neighbor saw me sweating after the job, he asked what was I doing.  I told him growing sunflowers.

He said, "Why?? You can buy them at the store."  After vacuuming up all the spilled soil, I was starting to think the same way.

But after seeing them all snug in their new homes, I know these plants are my babies and this whole project is a labor of love.

Will I be considered a bad mother if I eat my baby seeds later in the summer? Will my babydaddy even care?
