Ever read journal entries that leave you shaken, in awe & speechless, then you suddenly realize you haven't smiled quite like this before?  Rebecca does that for me >  Lavender Black

I received a package in the mail from Don, a book:
 
Venus in Spurs: The Secret Female Fear of Commitment.
 
Briege: I was hoping it was Paxil & Veuve Clicquot.
 
He folded over a page, & underlined a sentence~
 
Implicit in the whole notion of commitment is the willingness to allow another person access to our private, well-kept, secret self.
 
Briege:  So her having a public journal on AOL isn't enough for you?  I found a passage I like myself:  He was- gasp- falling in love with her.  She related this information as though she were describing a band of blood-sucking leeches that had somehow managed to attach themselves to her leg.
 
(empty haunted doll eyed look) Why would he be sending this book to Me?
 
Briege: If you are positive you'll never marry, may I store squirrel & poultry carcasses in your hope chest?
