Narnia the lion the witch and the wardrobe

Hello everyone hope you all had a great first day of 2006 today it is cloudy but kinda warming up it is 60 but we are getting thunder storms and rain today then supposed to get some snow the kids go back to school tomorow yeah then it will kinda be normal her yeah right lol hubby is off today and still resting he has a broken rib and neck pain and back pain so I am still kepping him in my prayers I have to go to work for a little while today and my sil went back on the truck she will not be back now untill the end of jan of begging of feb then will leave in feb to move she is excited and I am for her too just hope it all works out I am hoping that my dad and sister will be here shortky after that it will be nice to have big dinners and them over again I really do miss having friends over and family that has probably been the hardest but the Lord is working that out too. So I am sure many of you have been to see movies over the long weekend if you have not seen narnia I urge you to go or rent it when it comes out I for one am buying it and maybe goint to see it again I loved it I have read all his books and am so glad it came to a movie even my oldest loved it and said she liked it more then Lord of the rings that is alot because we are a really big lord of the rings fans here lol the other 2 girls loved it to as did my hubby here are some pics from the movie and it is about 4 siblings the pevensie childern 2 girls daughters of eve and 2 boys sons of adam it is set in world war 11 engaland they enter the world of narnia through a magical wardrobe once there the childern discover a charming peacful land inhabited by the talking beasts dawrfs fauns centuars giants that has become a world cursed to eternal winter by the evil witch Jadis under the guidence of a noble and mystical ruler the lion Aslan and the childern fight to over comne the white witches powerful hold over narnia in a spectecular climatic battle that will free narnia from the icy spell forever This book and movie is by a christian writer so there are little hints in it of the bible and can be a good lesson to do.

1. the lamppost  repersents Jesus as the light of the world you can always go to him and find your way home

2. Lion Aslan= the great Lion the king of the world  Aslan rediaties greatness and strength authority and gentlness his roar can shake mountains his wisdom and compassion are as boundless as his couregous heart

3. stone table represents the curtin torn so we have complete access to the Lord now just as the stone table breaks in two we now have the ability to have intiminte felowship with Jesus

4. christ resurrection shows Gods victory over death gives us new life and enables us to over come sin

The point is the lust for sinful pleasures leads to sin and death without the shedding of blood there is no forgivness for our sins

hope you liked the preview and I hope you get to see it have a good day and God bless kelley

We have read the whole Chronicles in the past.  It kinda blows me away that some ppl are just now discovering them and who C.S. Lewis was lol I remember in 3rd grade our teacher reading us The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and then getting to see the cartoon.. I truely belive seeds were planted back then and I love now sharing it all with my children.

We are going to see the movie soon as a family.. but we already have the BBC's version and collection on DVD and it is well worth it.  I am only hoping that Disney doesn't ruin this beloved story, as they tend to do, and take all the spirutal undertones out.  My mom called me and told me she just went to see it and it was excellent so maybe there is hope lol.
