This thing called... Life.

I wonder what's up?  I haven't talked to my mom about it lately, but I guess it could be any day now...

In the meantime, my life has been chaos.  I spent the last week packing up the house and getting the temp house ready.  Saturday, I found out that my great-grandmother passed away.  :o(  I met her once a very long time ago.  Actually, my grandma told me that I'm the only one of her 12 grandchildren that ever did!  Well, she just turned 100 on January 8th and some members of my family went out to visit her... including my mother...  (granny lived in AZ)  It was strange, because only a few days after everyone left, she passed.  It's like she held on to see everyone just one last time.

Anyway... On Sunday we got most of the house over to the temp and it was SO super freezing out!  Shane told me that OUR new place will be ready between 30-90 days... I told him to make it closer to 90... I'm NOT moving in the winter EVER AGAIN!  :::and that's final:::  ;o)

We were gonna move the rest of the stuff last night, but it started to snow... there went that!  lol... it's always somethin', huh?  ;o)

Ok... I'm gonna split for now... Don't depend on this journal much longer... Make sure you visit my other one on MySpace.com.

Well, I noticed that many people haven't been over to my new blog yet, so I'm updating here tonight!  :o)  Don'cha feel honored!?!?  LOL!

A lot has gone on since my departure a few months ago!  First of all... THE PUPPIES GREW!  :::gasp:::  As you can see from the pictures, they are sprouting like weeds!

Sugar has been staying over at her REAL Daddy's house lately.  Our house isn't big enough for THREE DOGS!  ;o)  It really isn't big enough for two, either, but Pistol is not much trouble and his Daddy can't keep up with them both yet... but, it still takes some pressure off of me.  I have to admit... Although cute, I didn't care for Sugar too much.  She was always the bad one... tearing stuff up and chewing and getting out of the kitchen... It's way easier without her!  ;o)  Pistol just likes to cuddle... and BOY is Styles jealous!  LOL!!!

Back in November, I did the holiday fair at my church and that went over semi-successfully...  I got 5 orders, but 2 canceled and I sold two premade ones there.  I wish those two didn't cancel, but oh well...  Maybe next year will be better...  Just trying to remain positive about the whole thing.  This was my first year there and there wasn't as many people as I thought there would be.  Eh... whata'ya gonna do?  Right?  ;o)

Shane and I have done NOTHING with the temp house in weeks!  He has been working SO much, that he hasn't even fixed the water pump yet!  HAHA!  He asks me about once a week, "Hey, when ya gonna do some more cleaning over there?"  ...and I say, "Hey, when you gonna get me some water to clean with there?"  LOL!  The conversation usually ends there... heehee...

We had a nice Thanksgiving over at his Grandmother's house this year... And after we had our share of turkey, we went to see "The Incredibles" at the theater.  :o)  What a CUTE movie!  I hope we didn't look TOO silly... ya know... going in there... without a kid, an' all...  ;o)  That's ok... If you think THAT'S a silly sight, you should've seen when we went to see "Finding Nemo" in the theater with my Dad!  ROFL!!  Yes... we ARE silly!  :oP

Our Christmas was lovely, as well... We were VERY busy that day!  We went to his Grandmother's, his Dad's and then my Aunt's house!  I think I wrote about that in my other blog, so if you wanna go check it out, the addy is in the entry below!  ;o)

Right now, I've just sitting here, with Pistol and Styles sleeping at my feet.  Shane had to run over to his Dad's house for a bit.  We're gonna just spend this New Year's Eve sitting in front of the TV, sipping on some schnapps... Nothing crazy this year...  We have too much to do tomorrow!  LOL!

Oh... Did you happen to hear about the 13" of SNOW we got last week?!?!  Now THAT was something crazy!  We haven't seen that kind of mess in YEARS!  LOL!  The dogs sure had fun in it, though!  ;o)

Well, next week I don't have a lot going on... I have to take Pistol for manhood removal, but that's about it... I really hope I can generate some Valentine's Day orders... I REALLY need the work right now... I feel like we're never gonna get out of this funk we're in... Well... I KNOW we'll get out, but that's not how it FEELS!  ;o)

I hope everyone in J-Land is well and from my family to yours, have a very Happy and SAFE New Years!  Don't forget to kiss your special someone at the stroke of 12...  Love to all...

Well... Since some of you have asked already if I'm pregnant, I would like to take this opportunity to say, "HECK NO!  Are y'all NUTS!?!?"  LOL!

Now that we have THAT out of the way, I'll tell you the REAL "big news"...

 

W E ' R E   M O V I N G !

 

Yay!  We're not actually moving to our own property yet, but that is only a few months away!  Right now, we've been asked to move into a little "fixer upper", until our land is ready for us...  My Aunt and Uncle asked if Shane could do some repair work and if I can do some major cleaning... and this also helps US, because it's on the same side of the water as our new place.  This way, we won't have to travel as far, while we're settin' up house over there!  Pretty cool, huh?  Oh yeah... and it's RENT FREE!  :o)  We liked THAT part, too!  All we gotta do is tend to the house and property...  I thought that was a good deal!  I don't mind fixin' and cleaning, if it saves us $300 a month!  LOL!  ;o)

So, this brings me to the sad part...

No more AOL for me, after we move.  I'm not gonna set anything up at this temp house, so we won't be getting our own internet until we get to the permenent place... and even THEN, I don't think we will splurge for AOL.  They are really letting their prices get out of hand!  BUT!!!  (and this is a big but)  LOL!  (that came out funny)  BUT!  I will still be coming online through the library computer or over here at Pop's house, so I will ALWAYS be poppin' in every now and then... and of course, I will still have my website AND my work email, if you'd ever like to say hello!  ;o)

ok... enough of my blabbering... I'll catch up with ya in a few days, to let you know how things are coming along!  Love to all...

 

 

psst... yes, Mary... we DO own this house, but we RENT the property it's on!  ugh.  We're gonna sell our house to help us with the new one, that's gonna be on OUR OWN PROPERTY!  :o)  ;o)

Well... Viv beat me to it!  LOL!  She asked about my lunch with Donna in Entry 3 of 3!  ;o)

That's what this entry was going to be about, so here it goes!

I did some more artwork for Donna (DocKart), but I wanted to personally deliver it!  So, she asked if I'd like to meet her again for lunch... Like we did when Miss Vivian came to town!  ;o)

It was such a wonderful time!  We met at Bennigans, talked, laughed and ate WAY too much food!  heehee...  First, we played a game of, "Guess where he's from?" with the waiter (which we never got right) and we were tempted to run over to 7-11, so we could get the drinks we wanted!  LOL!  I swear!  They were out of EVERYTHING that day, but WATER!  HAHA!  No... I'm kiddin'... They had lemonade and soda on hand, too...  ;o)

It was like two old friends getting together after a year.  We just couldn't stop TALKING!  I think we were there about 2 hours!  :o)  Well... maybe not THAT long, BUT CLOSE!  She poured her heart out about her last child to move away from home (Woody) and I poured my heart out about how much I miss Dottie (who just happened to text message me while we were there).  But, ya know... I think that when women friends get together, the conversation can ALWAYS last for day, if you let it!  LOL!

Thank you, Donna!  I'm glad that you turned out to be one of the "good" internet experiences!  :o)  Even if we can only meet once in a while, they are the "once in a whiles" that I won't want to pass up!  ...and if you need to vent about your children deserting you, I'm always here for ya!  LOL!
