"Bukowski Undigested" by my sister Linda King...

Here is a photo of the cover of this poem book which includes all the poems she wrote about Charles Bukowski, the famous writer, during the five years they were together, 'loving and hating,' part of the title of her memoir about that time.  Linda is practicing the poems she is going to read for the poets at the Beat Museum in San Francisco around the middle of this month.  I am going to propose that I come over and film her reading the poems.  Doc will make a home movie to offer to her fans.  This will be a big challenge for Doc to edit some of these poems to embed in my journal. That is what I have been trying to get him to learn to do.  I have been telling Linda I would come over and film her reading her own poetry.  Now is the time!  Wish me luck!

The artist Matt Sesow is one Raymond discovered on the Internet who painted a large war painting about 8' by 10' to hang on the Metro Arts stage for a production of ten minute plays about the war in Iraq.  While he was here Matt revealed he was a big fan of Bukowski, so Linda bought some of his paintings and later he agreed to illustrate this poetry book with original drawings.  He is a very prolific artist and has paintings in a number of galleries across the land.

I'm sure Linda will be fine, they have an "open mike" poetry rave in NY all the time, and many are worried at first but after the few 2 words they're fine, it's like you're sharing your own "child" with people, who wouldn't enjoy that!  And so many good poets in this world.  Very unusually unique artist, Sesow is.  I liked the original title too. (Thx 4 recent comment)  xoxo  CATHY

That takes a lot of guts to be able to get up and read your poems in front of a group like she is. I think it's a good idea for you to film her. Then, she can watch herself and make any improvements she deems necessary.
    Good luck to her!
