Raymond gets pulled over and his truck impounded...

Raymond

and it's all a mistake! He was driving over the speed limit when he was pulled over, but his license came up suspended for a ticket he got over a year and a half ago.  He told the cop he had paid this ticket, but he impounded his truck anyway, leaving him a foot on the street corner.  Raymond said this cop acted like he may have arrested another Jessie James.  As soon as Raymond could call the Police Department the paid ticket was found  in a dead pile.  A number of other people are driving out there without knowing their licenses have been suspended just like Raymond's, because of the lack of communication to the court that suspends licenses.  The police department said he could probably get the $150 impound fee back in time, but he would have to pay it to get his truck out.  He had scheduled a meeting in Utah, so he rented a car and took off anyway.  I just called his brother Gary who said they might charge him a storage fee so he would never get his money back.

Gary's deal to sell his house fell through at the last minute, so he told Raymond he wanted him to come and help move him back in the house!  The mobile storage unit is still sitting in front of his house, and he has to do something about that.  He said he may as well live there until it sells.  He did show it to another buyer last night.  Oh, when these deals fall through, especially now days, it is consternation time!

Raymond also told me Dante got suspended from school for some kind of misconduct.  So I have to talk to him and his dad tomorrow to find out what that was all about.  He is with his dad during the suspension, as  I am sure his mother is very upset about him doing this while in her care.

It was discovered through the spinal tap that the new baby does not have spinal meningitis which is what they feared.  He still has to be in the hospital 5 more days on antibiotics for the bacterial infection causing the fever.  I think he is still on oxygen, too, so this poor little guy has been through a lot since he was born! I told Gary little Keaton was born on his birthday on Monday.

I sent Gary a birthday card saying that he sometimes acted like Attila the Hun.  I said that was not so.  Gary said  maybe the Tasmanian Devil?

Goodness, Gerry, I haven't been getting your alerts, nor many others.  I've reset them but misssed so much.  Poor Raymond!  That's terrible that they would do that.  So he pays the $150 and has to hope to get it back but then has to rent a car.  Awful.  The govt. agencies seem to try and get money any way they can get away with.  Chris

Poor Raymond tries to get himself on track and look what happens!  If he new a city manager he could get all of this dismissed.  I wonder if his situation was publicized in the news if the exposure would speed up the process.  This is probably happening to other people as well.  And the thing falling through with the house, this is just alot more stress.

As far as Dante being suspended from school, these days if someone hits your child and your child hits back, they suspend them both.  They never protect the innocent child, so that might be what happened.  He stood up for himself and got canned for it.  I don't think that rule is ever fair.

Give Raymond lots of hugs from us all.  It could happen to anybody but never should.

What a hassle for Raymond! I'd be so pissed off! I hope he gets all of his money back and soon. What a joke that he has to pay to get his car out when it was all a mistake.  Give him a hug for me ok?

That's extremely poor, that they have not processed his payment 18 months after he submitted it. He should get his money back, full stop.
