Filming Linda's San Francisco poetry reading...

I filmed Linda reading her poetry about Bukowski against the fence in her back yard where birds were singing in the tree.  Next to her is the famous Bukowski sculpture she started when she first met the great poet.

Matt Sesow painting with a poem called Undigested Bukowski by Linda

Sesow painting for a poem about Lips by Linda.  Pretty good huh?  He will fly to San Francisco to join Linda.

Side view of Sister Margie, latest sculpture by Linda.  Do you like, Margie?

Linda's other dog, Shakira, still recovering from spaying.  Looks like she will be all right.

After I filmed Linda reading her Bukowski poems close to an hour we went to Thai Elephant and got food and then we went to Doc's to eat and watch what I had filmed.  Doc passed his approval on the back yard setting and he thought the reading was good which is high praise from him.  He is going to burn some for her to take to San Francisco. Linda can now study this film and prepare even better for the San Francisco reading at the Beat Museum in front of an audience.  She and her son Scott plan to fly there Friday.  I have done my part and I am happy!

Next task is to get some of the reading up to Doc's computer, maybe edit and try to upload one to Uncut video, but I will aim to do that job another day. I had fun!

It sounds like you had a great time.  I think I would really like Linda too.  She sounds so smart and talented just like you all are.  I knew you'd do great and you placed her in such a beautiful place for the reading.

That's quite a variety of pictures.   It adds to the flavor of Linda.  I enjoyed them all.  I didn't get the immediate feeling of Margie out of this sculpture like I did of the one of you.  It sort of grew on me and I could see it was her.  Sesow does have a colorful grasp of things!  And the dog looks like she was enjoying herself too.  I especially like Linda against the fence.  I'll look forward to the reading.   Ann
