End of a perfect Mother's day...

I lunched with Gary at Subway of all places as most of the restaurants down town are closed on Sunday.

A recent photo of Gary but I forgot to take my camera.  It would have been a good time to take a picture as he has a new girlfriend who encourged him to let his beard go white and his hair was shorter.  But just he and I had a very good visit as we ate our vegi-max burgers. He had been to Flagstaff last weekend where he saw his daughter Kelly Anne.  Her birthday was yesterday.  He says her little son Carlo is very cute, and he saw oldest daughter Laura Lynne and T.J. and their son Wyatt. They live across the street from each other. I don't know if he saw his grandson Travis who lives in Cottonwood during the week and goes to school and travels to Flagstaff on the weekend. His girlfriend went with him, so she must be a family woman.  I like that.

He says the construction company he is working for is doing the parking lot around the big new dorm called Taylor Place just back of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism building.  Then he will move to another job on another new building going up on Washington and Central.  This city is dotted with places where Gary has worked.  He's been in construction here since he was 19 years old.

At six o'clock this evening I walked over to Raymond and Dan's, my other sons.  They served me veggie pizza and salad.  I did not stay too long as Raymond was getting a sore throat, just long enough to celebrate the end of a perfect day.  I enjoyed seeing all my kids at different times.  It was a unique Mother's Day!

I think Raymond is looking a little better, don't you?
