"Her Kind" read by the poetess Anne Sexton...

I had to delay filming my son Raymond doing a monologue from his play, "Blue Baby," until next Thursday, because he caught a sore throat. But when I told him I was reading a biography of Anne Sexton, the poetess, he went to Youtube and found this video of her reading one of her poems, "Her Kind".  I thought it was a performance with a lot of dramatic intensity so I decided to give you this treat today.

I have chosen this poem because as Anne put it she had suicide on the brain her whole life, which was what her poetry was all about, trying to save herself.  Otherwise she thought she would have done it years before she did.
