Oh what a day I had...

My day started when I woke up at 2 am and it was all I could do to restrain myself from going down to Doc's, waking him up, so we could start shooting our next video.  Except I knew he would be sure to snarl, so I waited until 7 am, dressed in my cowgirl outfit, and went down all ready to shoot, but it seems he was not.  He was in quite a sober reflective mood.  I could see he was going to need time to think about playing Cowboy Todd.

I didn't plan to go to the thrift store even though it is Monday and senior citizen day.  Instead I mailed out 4 copies of Dreaming in Color, two to my sister Margie she had ordered and paid for.  Nelishia, I mailed you one.  While I was waiting in line I talked to my friend Tammy from the same complex and found out that her pituitary gland has gone clear dead after ailing six years and they are going to have to go through the back of her mouth into the middle of the brain and take out the tumour if possible that has killed it.  Ouch!  Tammy who is not yet 50 said she has asked them not to resuscitate her, and she fainted over to Circle K the other day and they brought her back from the dead six times.  She said everytime she woke up she was mad to think she was still here.  She is pretty cheerful all things considered.  But I dread such a terrible operation for her, so I can imagine what she is feeling.

I had resisted going to my thrift store as long as I could, but now I needed cheering up, I went there and bought this darling pink hat you see above with the same shade of pink shirt to go with it, paying around $3 for both.  I also bought the most darling shoes I have seen in a long time, and several books.

When I got home, I could see I was too old to wear that high of shoes, so I went down to give them to my friend Kim in her early fifties.  She rushed me in the door after waving a very badly swollen hand at me and told me she had been in the hospital five days!  She and a new male friend decided it was time to introduce their beloved cats to each other.  Kim is very tender-hearted when it comes to her pets, so did not anticipate their terrible animositytoward one another.  It took many bites and scratches for her and her friend to part them.  Kim was scratched on the hands, but he bled from several on his face and body.

The next day she was infected and he wasn't!  She didn't go to emergency until the next day and by then they told her she had to stay in the hospital as she could die.  Her hand still looked very red and swollen and scared me to death.  She assures me she is still on strong antibiotics and goes to a hand specialist on Thursday.  I was so glad I could give her a gift which made her feel a little better.

I don't know what we would do without thrift stores.

This outfit is my favorite that I've seen you in. It's so perfect for Springtime!
Sorry about your friend. I've heard that you should throw a bucket of water on fighting cats and they'll part ways. What a nightmare for her.
    Take care, Pam xoxox
