I know it has been forever since I have posted. A lot has happened in the last few months and for the better. I have had to make a lot of major decisions and you will see when you read one. This is when I say it is a time for changes and one of them being that I am now posting somewhere else.
Sorry AOL, I know you try and I like all the friends I made here and hope to continue to make friends. I just want to make my journal somewhere else.

Feeling Anxious
Hearing Soul Train on TV!!!
Big Brother!!!!
Vote For Kaysar!!!!!

Yes, now we can bring back an evictee back into the house. Kaysar was only evicted all because they couldn't handle the fact that he got Eric out and Eric was nothing but trouble in there. I don't care what he does for a living. That does not mean he needed to be Mr. Superior in there and be so uppity. Kaysar is the only one who can right the wrong going on in there. I am not telling anyone how to vote since that is everyone's personal choice, but Eric fans, please think this through: Wouldn't you rather have someone use principles in there? Now Eric was not using any principles in there. He was really a hypocrit and he is also a male chauvenist as well as bigoted. Now some of you only want Eric back just for excitement in the house, well you will get that and even more excitement with Kaysar back in there. If Eric comes back, there can be another fight and it may be too late for even "Big Brother" to come back to the rescue and someone is seriously hurt and maybe even permanently. Don't let Eric's words to Michael fool you when he told him he was sorry and that he was not going to hit him because he was going to beat him up very badly and Michael would have been very injured. Now some of you think Kaysar was going to hit Ivette when she called him a sand @#@^^^, but that was not the case. Kaysar was just staring down at her out of anger since he was pushed to the max, but he was not going to hit her. Kaysar is a very gentle soul and I don't care that he believes in another religion. I live in a large city where people from all nationalities and religions and I can say with sincerety that most of these people are very nice. I never judge people with the race, religion or what they do for a living. Yes, firemen saved a lot of people from 911, but that does not mean Eric is nice and yes we are fighting with Iraq, but that not does mean Kaysar is bad. What I like most about him is the statement he made that he will never kiss a woman or get intimate with them unless he has marriage intentions with her. That tells me right there he believes in principles and he is not a hypocrit. I agree that as far as his personal bio goes, he reveals very little, but one thing we can say is that he is not lying. That is more than what we can say about most people. He also wants to get rid of James who is betraying everyone including his most devoted lady for his personal gain.

Feeling Anxious
Family Matters
Good news and bad news. I have a lot on my mind. I am happy to announce that I have been accepted at Colorado Technical University Online for the MBA program in Health Care Mangement. Only catch now is to get financial aid. Well that is already getting a bad start since first they have a policy that to apply online I need a PIN number. That takes two days to get. So I get mine this morning. Wellllll, they ask me the key question that I have to answer and an answer I picked. Welllll, I answered it, but guess what friends, it failed. Now I know that was the answer, but since their site does now allow you to see what you initially type, it is so easy to mis spell anything. Even the best typists make mistakes the first time. So now another two days before I get another PIN. Meantime, I cannot apply for financial aid til I get a PIN and not only remember the answer, but make sure I didn't mis spell anything. How clever, but I am at their mercy. Then the lady at the University keeps saying everything has to be done in a timely manner. I understand, but some things can't be helped.
Now I also know daddy is not going to be happy that I don't plan on being a teacher as a long term plan. So I only tell mama and yes she is happy and she will keep the secret from daddy. She won't even tell Antoine. BTW, Antoine will be teaching high school geometry this year. See I know daddy only wants us to do what he wants us to do and not what I think will be the good job for me. I would rather be a health care administrator/staff director. If I don't get the aid though then off course I have the teaching to fall back on. Daddy had been pushing the teaching job on me for over 20 years now. Yes, I enjoy children and like what I did for the last four years but I want to reach for the stars. I know I can contribute to health care.
Let me just briefly tell my college history. When I first went to college, I wanted to be a doctor. I started out by taking all the pre-med courses like the sciences and then my general requirements. Now since daddy was paying tuition back then he took away my pre-med program from me after my first year. He made me take math and mind you I do like math, but I already knew other than teaching there would be very little opportunities. He then told me then I could teach. I gave him a cold I don't want to teach. He still made me take the math and told me no more science. Since he was paying and mama gets wimpy with him at times, I had no choice of my major. I like math, but I like to be practical. I know there are actuary jobs but they are hard to get as I have found out the hard way.
When I tried to get a job in the math field, no one would hire me since I had no work experience in that field. So I was forced to work in other fields. When I lost my last job under very bitter circumstances which I will one day reveal here (I don't care if any of them reads this since they already know how angry I am at them) , I finally decided to give teaching a try and I liked it and still do, but there is nothing with rising. Health Care is growing.

Feeling Quiet
Too Early to tell
I want to thank all of you who read my journals and leave feedbacks and also send me emails.
Here is the news today. We had to go to the loop. I had to renew my teaching certificate since every four years it expires. Got that done and I will get my new license in the mail in two to three weeks. I can start working anytime when school starts.
Now, the big news which maybe I should hold off on but I can't help myself and maybe I can ask for prayers. I know a couple of months ago, I said I wanted to study to become a minister, but I had to change my mind because our former minister had said that to be a Methodist minister and get a nice congregration would be a lot of bureacracy and that I may not get into a good congregration and thus enjoy my job like I should.
I then heard and did research on the Internet that Health Care Management is now a hot field and will be for the next ten years. I also want to get a Masters as well so I thought why not in that. I got interviewed by an online school today and passed that part of it. I just filled out my application and sent it online. I just have to pay them and see if I am admitted. Then the biggest part of it is getting the grant. I cannot do this without a grant since it is an expensive program. I am just anxious. Please pray that not only I get accepted, but that I get the grant. If not, I will just do the teaching. At least I have something to fall back on and I also love children.
I got my Spiderwick Chronicles series today in the mail that I ordered from amazon. I bought them from the used department, but these have never been opened. Now I just have to wait for the Large Print version of the Historian by Elizabeth Kostova and Philip Pullman's books which he writes about the Amber Glass.
Have A Great Day Everyone

Feeling Chillin'
Where To Start
Yes, I have been spending a lot of time online but I haven't been able to get to very many journals lately since I am updating all my sites. I just haven't updated "my space" site yet. I haven't put a link there yet either since there really isn't much there and I don't go there much. There are a lot of good people there and you can just meet so many people there and get instant popularity. I am not trying to get popularity either as long as I just make friends. Friends is what is really the number one asset in this world.
Funny how I live in a large city and yet I am not with it as far as what is going on around locally. I am just a shy person I guess and don't know how to approach people in live settings and yet I have no trouble doing it online. Also it is easier to ask people online or to find out what a person's interests are whereas in person, how to do it! I mean in person, you just don't walk up to them and ask them "hey, I am Anita, what are your interests and what do you like to do"? LOL!!!! I had no problems with shyness at the Harry Potter party since the atmosphere was so friendly and we were all there doing the same thing. I talked to tons of people that night of all ages. Cutiepie was off course his same aloof self. He is not a snob but he is just afraid of opening up to people. He does not even get on this computer not even to read what I say here. He sometimes looks at the pictures I show him of my friends or other interesting things. I always call him here when I see pictures so I can share them with him.
Now some of you may be wondering why I have so many websites when I can just put everything on this one journal. Ok, here is what it is. Not all of us here are interested in the same things. Not everyone wants to read about books and movies, so I started a separate journal for that. Then I have non-AOL journals for a few reasons. People who don't have AOL cannot leave comments on here. They can read AOL journals but they cannot leave feedbacks. Then another reason is and I don't mean any disrespect to AOL is that on the AOL journals there are restrictions as to layouts and links and also how to put pictures. To post a picture here is very time-consuming. We have to store it on our hard drive and then upload to ftp and then get the link when we are posting it. That is a very time-consuming process and that is why lately I haven't put my Tweety graphics here like I always use to. On the other sites, they have free software you can download and to store your photos and graphics and it is just a simple matter when you are making a post that you can just upload from the storage software. Once you have the software, you can always keep storing your photos on there. It is so much easier.
Then I am posting different subjects I like on those sites depending on what type of clientele they have. One of the sites, I am going to be speaking about my dreams and religion since a lot of people there are into those subjects. Then on the other site, there are a lot of crafters. Now I am leaving the option for all of you if you want to read my other journals, I have the links in my sidebar for you to click on and leave feedback. I want to be able to make everyone happy here and not bore anyone with what does not interest them. This is really my main journal and always will be where I speak of my regular life. I will do a little bit of that on my other sites since those people don't all have AOL. If any of you have any suggestions on how to better handle this, I will listen.
Have a great week everyone

Feeling Chillin'
Not much exciting going on here lateley. Had a long conversation with mama. She was nice and told me that my brother got a teaching job in Hartsville. There is a stipulation that he has to keep going to school since he is not fully certified. He not got good scores on the Praxis, but he got an award on having among the top scores. I am happy that he will now be working since he is too deep in debt. He got evicted from his townhouse back in April and it is a good thing that my mother went and took a random trip there. I mean what would he have done, ended up in the street. He had finally cashed my check that I sent him last winter.
I need to start cleaning this house, a chore I have been putting off. I guess I should subscribe to flylady. I will do some cleaning tomorrow.
I am finished with the first three books in the Charlie Bone series. I now have to read the last one called Charlie Bone and The Castle Of Mirrors. I need to get that from the library. I just reviewed all of them and the reviews are in my books and movies journal.
I also started another journal at another site. Seems to be taking off good. I also updated the other non-AOL journal I and posted pics of the scarf that I completed last winter. To those of you who haven't seen them, I will post a link to that journal in my sidebar. I added the links to my books and movies journal and to my list of 43 things I need to do. Let's see how many of those things I do.

Feeling Happy
Go On Kaysar!!!
Well tonight on Big Brother 6, Michael got evicted by a vote of 9 to 1 and we know who voted for him to stay. One piece of good news is that Kaysar got HOH and he promised to avenge Michael's eviction. Go on Kaysar, they had no right to do that since Michael was judged very unfairly. Nobody messes with my friends neither. Mess with my friends, you are messing with me. Mess with my friends, you will be sorry. I think you should nominate Eric since he is the one who nominated your buddy for no reason. Don't trust James since he is a snake in the grass. Also he did not use the power of veto to save your friend. You were also unfairly judged. Now they are all brownosing you just so they don't get nominated.
Just serve Justice; Kaysar.

Feeling Quiet
Reality shows
I don't know how they started calling these reality shows anyway since it is not everyday that people get stuck on an island anymore, or are locked in house with a bunch of strangers or have a three month job interview performing tasks.
I have been watching "The Cut" "BB6", and "The Seventies House". I also watch "'Apprentice during it's seasons. I stopped watching "Survivor" and "Amazing Race" since on Survivor, all they do is backbiting and the ones who do no work are the ones who win. "Amazing Race' does display skills and strength, but they fight on that one too.
I am very disgusted with BB6 this season and the problem is, it is like nicotine that once you start watching it, it is hard to stop. All they do is bicker, bicker, bicker. Backstab, backstab, backstab. I can't stand any type of drama and I am just flaberghasted at these people's behavior. Everyone that is on this season is either hotheaded and/or a backbiter. I was not home on Tuesday to watch live so I taped it and then watched it on tape last night and was I shocked. I thought that ever since back a few years ago, when Justin pulled a knife on Krista and then he tried to hit her on her head with a vacuum cleaner, they would be more careful on who goes on the show. All "big brother" did was make an announcement for everyone to go in separate rooms to calm down and then he called a meeting. But wait a second here, someone could have been severely hurt permanently by the time the announcement was made or even in the process of going to their rooms. I mean after all, this is not a rational group of people or none of that would have happened.
I went and checked on their CBS website this morning and went straight to the requirement department and it stated they did background checks; well I wonder how deep does one check. I happen to know a PI personally and she has told me levels of background checking depending on how much individuals and businesses are willing to pay. The website also stated that they check medical records and yes it should be done because CBS can also be held responsible for any medical complications. Then it stated that they do mental illness checks. Now this raises many questions with me as to how much they screen the contestants. I am not saying that someone with a mental illness should not go on the show. What they really need to look at it how they get along with others and can they stand isolation in the house and are they snakes in the grass? They also need to check if these people have issues which they did not do at all because these people on this season really have major issues or why are they either getting so angry with others or running around backstabbing. To me, that is very immature and childish. I never in my life thought adults act like that.
Now if any of us in J-Land acted like this towards each other, we would be TOSsed out.
What I don't understand neither is that everyone on the show is getting a stipend just for competing on the show. Only the big prize winner does not get the stipend since they get the jackpot. I mean on the Apprenctice, they are always doing grueling tasks and they don't get any money just for being there. They also don't live in a big spacious house. Yes, they are in nice living quarters and it is expensive, but they don't have the space that the Big Brother contestants have. Also the Big Brother contestants don't have to perform any tasks so do they get paid for all the bickering they do!!!!! On the Cut, they also have very grueling tasks and Mr. Hilfiger is not a very understanding person. I mean he is professional and nice but don't get on his wrong side. They also don't live in a house much less a big house. No friends, they all live in a one bedroom apartment in SoHo and they don't get a stipend for being on the show. They also don't bicker and backstab on the Apprentice nor the Cut. Yes, they all have their moments and they do vent to the audience but there is no bickering among the contestants. Also on the Cut, most of these people are poor and struggling artists and yet they know how to act like professionals. That is another reason I am shocked at the Big Brother contestants. They all have very good jobs and yet none of them know how to act mature and professional.

Feeling Anxious
The party
I thought I would now make this entry about the party Friday night at Borders. We got there at 8 since we knew the whole town would be there and we may not get a parking space. As soon as we got to Oak Park, we already saw people dressed as wizards and witches. They had wands and broomsticks. When we parked the car, we saw a jeep that had painted on the back window "Dumbledore's Army" and it was so cute. Then we walked to Borders and went in. We then got our color coded bracelet since everyone who ordered were able to get the bracelets. The reason they did this was that they wanted crowd control and also wanted to get people out early. On the last book that was released (back then I hadn't started reading Harry Potter yet), they said people were all lined up outside and they had people on Harlem Ave. so then it is pretty serious when people are lined up outside on Harlem Ave. since that means quite a que. The lady also told us that we could go home and come back since she noticed hubby didn't really want to stay. Hubby was more concerned about missing Jay Leno and the news. I told him, I could drop him home and come back, but he would not hear of that either so he stayed with me after I kept reminding him that we never get out and do anything. To me it was a treat not only because it was Harry Potter night, but we finally got out and did something.
It really was a treat being there. They did hand painting so I had my hand painted with the lightning bolt that "Who Shall Not Be Named" put on Harry's forehead. Off course "Who Shall Not Be Named" fortunately never showed up like some of us feared. They had fake tatoos so hubby and I both had two put on us. We both had HP put on our arms and the Spiderwick symbol also on our arms. I also had HP put on my face. They had a dream analysis table so I had one dream analyzed and she was accurate too so maybe there is some stalk in that even though I seldom believe in that stuff. She stated that dreams have to be written down as soon as we wake up in order to be accurate. I have heard that before and it makes sense. I always thought that dreams are simply based on fantasies and fears.
They also had a table for Spiderwick in the children's department downstairs. There were paperdolls to color, word puzzles, and a quiz that I took even though I never read Spiderwick. I didn't do bad on the quiz. Then there was a table for the HP candy and I tasted one and it was awful. It had a black pepper taste. I don't like to say this, but according to the stories, some of the candy they have are very awful tasting. There were also HP quizzes and word puzzles and connect the dots as well as more paper dolls to color. I collected all this. I didn't have a pencil on me, but one of the clerks was nice enough to give me one and they had plenty to give out.
I had a great time just watching everyone else have fun. Children were sitting on the rugs and coloring and the cafe was filled with people either reading or doing their work. People were sitting all over. It was very crowded by 10 already. Hubby and I got a seat in the cafe and he just looked at the paper and I did the connect the dots. I also did the Chocolate Factory word search and let me tell you it is hard. That word search on the Chocolate Factory is not child's play. I still have to finsish it and then I want to do my HP puzzles. I also want to color my paper dolls. I do collect all kinds of paper dolls. I bought several on ebay. I have the Princess Dianna paper dolls that will be valuable one day. I aslo have several others that are dressed in period clothing.
They had a huge line for people just getting their bracelets. The clock was ticking for 11:45 to come. That was when they were going to start lining up everyone for the cash registers. They had a 4 for 3 sale so since I had the birthday money I hadn't spent yet. I bought more books (Naughty me). There are more and more books that are like Harry Potter. I bought Inkheart that is the first in the series. I bought Majik that is also first in the series. I bought the first Lemony Snicket (so many are out now) and I bought another one that I can't remember the name that is also the first since they were all 4 for one and all of them were first in the series.
I also bought Wicked since I am a Wizard Of Oz fan and I bought Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. I heard a lot of talk about that book. Then I bought HP 6. I had the green bracelet that was after color blue so I we were out by 12:30, not bad. It was wall to wall people in there. I know the help loved what was in the cash registers that night but they did probably didn't like going home at 3. I had to go back to Borders yesterday to return Historian since the binding was defective and my cashier told me they got out that night at 3.
Hubby was glad he came and stayed. I now have him interested in Harry Potter since we saw HP 1 last night on VCR. I taped it off a pay channel. That was such a good movie. Quidditch is even better watching it more than reading it. I just love that sport. I really never liked Muggle sports but I can talk and watch quidditch all day and night. I don't care if it is a very hard game, it is very exciting. The book covers more details than the movie. I am going to read all the books again before I start Half Blood Prince. The HP group I am in; most of them are already finished with Half Blood Prince and I like the fact that when they post they make sure to put in the headings that it is a spoiler and not to read unless you finish the book. Well, the moderator of the group made that rule since things did get out of hand last week when the book was not even out yet.
I decided to first finish the Charlie Bone series. I read the first one a few weeks ago and these books are due in three weeks so I am now on book 2. Yes, I want to read Half Blood Prince but the next one won't be out until 2007 and what bothers me is that is her last one. I wish Mrs. Rawling would write about what Harry does when he is graduated and grown. I mean what is she going to do since she is too young to retire.
I will write more about these books in my books and movies journal.

Feeling Chillin'
Don't know!!
I really don't like making this entry and it goes against my grain. First off, I am a devout Christian. I also don't like any type of drama. Now the only reason I started a journal in the first place in the first place was to make friends. I have never in my life kept a journal nor a diary of any sort. I am not really a writer. Yes, I am a big reader, but not a writer. I like to find people with common interests and that is just what I have done here. I have met many nice and meaningful people. Now if I have in any way offended anyone, I think the appropriate thing would be to bring it to my attention in an email or even my journal, or an IM would be acceptable. That is what I do if someone offends me and I also know how to be diplomatic since I am a teacher and we have to be that way with the kids and parents. I already know someone here is really antagonized with me since I have not heard from this person for ages. I just don't know why since I did not contact this person for a long time. There are many people I didn't contact for a long time since I was very busy. When I tried to access this person's journal, I find out I am blocked. I just don't understand since this person never told me what I did or said wrong. What really irks me is the fact that the way the two of us met was that this person approached me first and now they block me. I never knew this person even existed. Yes, there are many people I initially approached in J-Land whether through others or the board or doing a search for common interests. But this person found me first and I have no problem with that since I have made many friends that way. But if someone approaches me first, why block me for no reason or if I did or said something wrong, at least tell me so I know. I mean I am only human just like everyone else. Just like it says in the Bible, we are all sinners except for Jesus Christ. I know I don't always make it to church but do I deserve the electric chair for that!!! I never claim to be the best Christian and I never judge anyone lest I be judged. That is for God to do. So I resent being judged myself. This person was also very nice to me so it just does not make sense. I was also under the impression that this person would tell me if I everdid or said anything that bothered them. When I went through some hard times last fall, many people came over here and helped me through it and I will never forget it, but I am not here to antagonize anyone. All I ask is to just tell me what I did or said that made them block me. Maybe I should just stop this journal since I am not getting anything out of it. All it takes is a press of a button to close it. Life is just too short and I have many things going in my life that keeps me content. God loves me and I love God and I am happy with that. No, I don't have a lot of money but money does not spell happiness. I know people with money who are the most unhappy people and they admit they are unhappy. I admit I live in a little world of my own, but is there a law against it! To those of you who gave me support, I appreciate it. If I switch internet carriers, I will give you my yahoo address. Earthlink is trying to get me back and I am sitting here looking at an offer from msn that is very tempting.
