Feeling Worried

Becky

A good time at the bar may lead to a bad time behind the bars.  Make sure you know your designated driver. This story will teach all to beware. It started when Becky got off work and decided to stop off at the local bar and have a drink. She befriended a young man named Mike, who is about the age of her eldest son Brandon.(21)  Mike was looking for his girlfriend. Mike had asked Becky for a ride to another bar so he could see if his girlfriend was there. It was on the way home and Becky said ok. His girlfriend was not there.  They had a couple of  drinks and Becky sang karoke with one of the  gals she knew. The friend asked Becky if she needed a ride home. Becky said no," Mike is my designated driver." Becky wakes up around 10:30pm and is on the passanger side of the car.The car is parked and no one else there.. Becky drives home. The next day she goes out to the garage and notices a dent on the car. She thinks someone had a fight outside the bar and hit her car and dented it. She returns back to her family room and watches tv.  The news comes on and a hit and run occured last night. The cops are looking for a car. The decription of the car fits that of her car. She feels sick to her stomach, calls one of her sisters and they go to the police station. Becky tells the police that her car may have been involved in the hit and run. The police impound her car. The next day Becky is arrested.  Three days later Mike comes forward to the police. He is now on the prosecuting attorneys side. Who is at fault? Mike says Becky was driving. Becky does not drink until she passes out. But the night of the hit and run. She passed out? Did someone mickey her drinks? All she knows is she woke up on the passenger side of the car. What actually happened that night? Becky has sold her house for attorney fees. Is she guilty beyound a shadow of doubt? I dont think so. I hope when they go to preliminary hearing in Nov. that the case will be thrown out. The man that got hit.He Died. Think twice before you have a designated driver  this could very easily happen to any of us. The last hit and run in that town got 20 years. What is going to happen to my sister, mother of 6.
