Being Thankful
written Nov 21, 2007
As we come to this season we think of thanksgiving and peace on earth and good will toward men. Isnt it funny, that is what the word of God tells us to do everyday?
First of all Thanksgiving, I love it! Its a time my family gets the chance to get together and talk too loud and eat too much and laugh heartily as we share stories of whats been going on in our lives since we last met. Erica comes from tenn with her husband and her two boys and Peaches usually is there but this year she is sick in fla and Im going to miss her so much! Having her boys and my grandsons there will be exciting. My oldest son Brock comes from across town with his wife "Erica", a different one from the above ofcourse. My youngest son who lives at home and Mommy! Its going to be good.. smile. We will watch dvd's and sing off key Christmas carols which used to be a Christmas eve tradition. Be very glad you wont be there! LOL.. Anyway, moving on to my subject.
The bible tells us to be thankful all the time.
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
Now does that mean we should be thankful if you are in an accident? Or if someone loses his job? Or if someone passes away?
To me, it rather means that we are to rejoice and be thankful for the things we do have, the blessings we have in spite of what is wrong. If someone is in an accident I can rejoice that they are alive and that they will recover, I can rejoice over all the blessings I do have while praying for the recovery of the thing that is not so well. If someone passed, I can rejoice over the time I did know them. The good times we shared. I can rejoice that they will be with Jesus one day if they were saved. I can also remember that even though I prefer that not to have happened and it saddens me, God is still good! So its rather than complaining and dwelling on the thing that is uncomfortable or bad for me, I can look pass that to the many blessings God has given me and let my heart rejoice in praise to my God for those things and I get a glimpse of how its not so bad after all. ANd while Im there, I can share with Him the things that hurt, the things that i perceive need fixing. When my heart is overwhelmed within me lead me to the Rock that is higher than I. Its like a quote I read somewhere. "Count your blessings, not your sorrows." Amen .. As I look at the blessings God has given me the problems looks smaller. As I look at the God of the blessing, WHAT problem? He is so big, He overshadows the problem for truly whatever is wrong He is able to make right or comfort me in that situation. Ah, Lord God thou hast made the heavens and the earth by thy great power, Ah, Lord God, Thou hast made the heavens and the earth by Thine outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for Thee. Abosolutely Nothing! aaamen After all, it doesnt say 'be thankful FOR all things' it says "in" all things. So I have to be thankful even though Im not in good circumstance but Im thankful FOR so many other things. Im thankful that I have God and He loves me, my name is written in the Lamb's book of life. He is with me and the list goes on for reasons to be thankful.... in spite of. Ok, thats my perspective and believe me, I've got to put it to use right now.
Then there is the scripture we throw over almost everything, you know the one.. "all things work together for the good..." and its true so in that case we can be thankful that the unpleasant situation is mixed with all the good and when its kneaded up real good, it bakes a sweet and tender saint.
In closing, I love Christmas Season. People are so polite.. You hear "Merry Christmas" hollered at u in the stores sooo loud and cheerful by so many people. The bells of the Salvation Army are ringing aloud as you walk around and Christmas Carols are playing "We Wish You A Merry Christmas and Silent Night". we are a small town, people are smiling and mostly on their best behavior.. there are a few exceptions. But mostly everybody has the "good will toward men" attitude. If you have 2 or 3 items in line behind someone with 2 buggies full they will likely say, "please come around me, you only have a few items."
And now, I need to go get some foods prepared for tomorrow cuz I dont intend to miss all the fun staying in the kitchen. All Im doing tomorrow is finishing touches!
Seasons Greetings!! from Vee

Mrs Job
I'd like to share this little nugget on suffering and it may not be one that we think too much about. We usually think of Job when we think of suffering and certainly he did but I'd like to consider his wife. She is not named and only remembered for her words spoken in a weak moment " curse God and die."
I'd like to meet Job's wife,if she made it to heaven, she went through all of the same things Job did except the sickness and she even went through that as it was her husband who was sick, she was his caregiver. Still, the thing people remember about her most is one line:"why not curse God and die." Granted that was soooo uncool to say the least but as I step back and put myself in that situation, although I want to be strong enough that it could never happen to me.. I do understand her feelings.. emotions had taken over.. Job's wife had just lost all her children, all the same possessions Job did, she did not have the bible to read and tell her "He will never leave you nor forsake you..." and her husand was as sick or sicker than anyone we have ever seen, she had to watch and take care of him and thinking the same fate may come to him as did their beloved children.. she may just lose him too. He could die also in this short span of time she would lose all her loved ones and everything she had. Plus, friends coming around talkin that talk.. Do you remember Sarah heard Abraham's conversation concerning her having a child and she laughed.. well it is too hard to imagine Job's wife probably heard the conversation between Job and his friends? With all she already had on her mind, hearing the not so encouraging words of his friends was not exactly uplifting!
Granted, she allowed the devil to use her there for a moment but which of us havent done the same thing unknowingly at some time, and still God forgave us? So I dont know, I think Im right but I may be wrong, I think its a strong chance that lady might have made it. The friends received correction from the Lord and Job was instructed to pra for them.
Mrs Job wasnt replaced as his wife and so she got to share in the blessings restored and running over to her husband Job. I like to hope that the goodness of God led to her repentance of words spoken in time of weakness.
So what do you think?

The riches Of His Grace
Passage Ephesians 2:7-10: NIV 7in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
The above passage is so powerful to the gospel message. It is by GRACE we are saved. It is God's gift to us. We cant earn it and we could never deserve it but out of the RICHES of His Grace, He freely gives to us. Riches equal an abundance of. God is so rich in mercy that we didn't get the sentence we should have gotten and so rich in love that He sent His Only Begotten Son to die on calvary's cross. His blood was shed for each one of us whether we appropriate it or not. It was for us, thank God for the blood.
Now, it goes on to say why God wants to show forth these mercies to us. God wants to bestow this blessing on us because He loves us. He loves His creation. We are the work of His hands. We are created in Christ Jesus and we are created to do GOOD works which God already ordained for us to do. God already had ordained that He would show all that great loving kindness to us and allow us to do the works that He put in us to do. So we are packed with purpose by the one who purposed us and He knows how to get out what He put in and He knows when. He created us to fellowship with Him and through fellowship we come to know Him and we come to really know ourselves, our purpose and are empowered to fulfill it.
FATHER GOD THANK YOU THAT YOU ALWAYS HAD US IN MIND. BEFORE WE WERE BORN WE WERE ON YOUR MIND. THE SONG SAYS WHEN JESUS WAS ON THE CROSS WE WERE ON HIS MIND. HELP US LORD, TO KEEP YOU ALWAYS ON OUR MINDS TO THE POINT THAT IT GUIDES OUR ACTIONS FOR OUR ACTIONS SPRING FORTH FROM OUR THOUGHTS. THANK YOU LORD. AMEN

"You crown the year with Your goodness and Your paths drip with abundance.
Psalm 65:11
God is so good to all of us. So many circumstances compete for our affections and attentions, it would be easy to take our focus off our Lord and allow our faith to be swayed by what we see. A bill needs paying, a pain in the body, a problem with the children, a troubled marriage, and the list is endless. "God can You hear me?" These are the vicissitudes of life. In the midst of it all, there is still Our Heavenly Father, He cares for us. He knows our trials and our pains. Lift up your heads O ye gates and see the King of Glory in all His splendor. Even in the midst of trials, He 'crowns the year with His goodness and our paths drip with abundance.' We count our blessings. God still sits upon the throne and He cares for You. His eyes are upon you and His ears are open to your cry.
"My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, for the trial of your faith worketh patience." James 1:2-3
If you have the time today, take a moment to think on Psalm 65 from your favorite version of the bible or from several.
Heavenly Father thank You for Your goodness. We honor You with a grateful heart for all You have done! amen

The valley of the shadow of death holds no darkness for the child of God. There must be light, else there could be no shadow. Jesus is the light. He has overcome death.

WOrship Him
3And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. 4And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. 5And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. 6And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. 7And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. 8And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. 9And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10And hast made us unto our God kings and priests.
Verse 6 reminds me of the verse in Isaiah 11:3.. "The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him. The spirit of wisdom, the spirit of knowledge and understanding, the spirit of might...." All being one the self same spirit. The Holy Spirit, sevenfold fold. Perfect , Complete, Entire.
The twenty four elders had a bowl and a harp in their hands and the bowl represents the prayers of the saints. Inside the bowl was incense burning which causes smoke to ascend and so there was a sweet savour going into the nostrils. The harp was an instrument used in those days to accompany the singers as they offered song to God. They sang Psalms and the harp played along as they prayed and worshipped the Lord.
Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
We should sing unto the Lord even if we have a ragged voice. Whatever voice we have, let us use it to glorify God - make a joyful noise in our time of worship and adoration of the Great and Mighty God!
So as we worship Him today, let us bring all of the components - a humble spirit, a listening ear, as we offer our love to Him.. shout joyfully unto the Rock.
Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus
Just to take Him at His word.
Just to rest upon His promise,
Just to know thus saith the Lord.
Jesus Jesus precious Jesus
How I proved Him o'er and o'er
Jesus Jesus Precious Jesus
O for grace to trust Him more.
I'm so glad I learned to trust Him
Precious Jesus Saviour Friend
Now I know that Thou art with me
Will be with me to the end.

Thank You Holy Father for life for health for strength for our names being written in the Lambs Book of Life. To You be all the glory. Worthy is the Lamb of God. We praise You. Thank You for this opportunity, privilege of prayer. Father there are those who have bad reports from the doctors and we lift them up to You . You were wounded for our transgressions by His stripes we are healed. We pray for the spiritual blind that they may see. Open the eyes of their hearts and break up the fallow ground of their hearts that they may have the true word of God implanted and grow thereby. We pray for the financially bound. Father Your word say to owe no man anything but love. You give us the power to get wealth. Your word says believe the Lord and we will be established and if we believe your prophets we will prosper. They will prosper that love Thee... So Lord give witty inventions and creative ideas that will cause prosperity breaking the stronghold of debt and give wisdom to not fall prey to it again. There are so many who have accepted You but desire a closer walk with Thee, desiring like Paul, to count it all dung for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus. Rain on us Lord. we pray for increase. Order our steps and lead us in a plain path. Our times are in Your hand, perfect that which concerns us O God. We lay it all down to You for many plans are in the heart of man but You order our steps. There are those bound by nicotine, alcohol, drugs.. father God You gave us dominion over all things. Sin entered in and we gave it up. Restore Lord. You give us power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt us. We plead the blood of Jesus over your saints who need deliverance from any sin of bondage and addiction. we pray they be strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit and that they would find a self control which is a fruit of the spirit growing up in them. The burden shall be taken from off their neck and the yoke destroyed because of the anointing. Do it all to Your glory Lord in Jesus name.. amen
Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

PRAYER CHANGES EVERYthing
<CENTER> Saturday, June 23, 2007

Prayer changes EVERYthing

Psalm 34:6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him
out of all his troubles.
Psalm 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from
all my fears.
Jonah 2:2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD,
and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that
ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
PRAYER CHANGES EVERYthing
We have a God who was willing to lay down His life for us while we
were yet still in sin and therefore we have a God who has shown His
amazing love for us and not only us but the world, including those
who do not even believe that He is. Truth is, God loves the alcoholic
or crackhead on the corner just as much as He loves the tongue talking
Holy Ghost walking saint. His love is perfect. He loves us when we do
wrong and He loves us when we do right and so we can know that He
is concerned for everything that concerns us (psalm 138:8, Ps 31:15).
He looks beyond our faults and He sees our need. He loves us AS
we are and He loves us too much to leave us as we are if we will
believe on Him, trusting the sacrifice He already made for the WORLD.
Therefore we know that when we pray, He hears us and if He hears us,
we have the petition that we ask of Him, if we pray according to His
will 1 John 5:14-15). His will (testament) is His Word. So why do we
become anxious and worry about the circumstances that arise in this life?
Jesus is not asleep on the boat (Psalm 121), but if He were asleep
PRAYER would awake Him. Calling on the name of Jesus stirs Him.
Come as YOU are. Pour out YOUR heart. Jesus is waiting.
Fervent: 1. exhibiting or marked by great intensity of feeling 2.hot, to the boiling point 212 degrees and above Avail(eth): 1.advantage toward attainmentof a purpose or goal 2. profits or proceeds from a root cause

Let us enter His gates with thanksgiving in our hearts, continuing in fervency
through the outer courts, to the inner courts and on into the Holy of Holies
where we find the mercy seat. After we have laid it all down, we rise again
knowing that He who has promised is faithful. It is finished.
Our Father, Your name is Hallowed, Jehovah Jireh - Lord You are our
provider, Jehovah Raphe- You are our Healer, Jehovah Nissi -Lord You
are our Banner, our security! Our Hiding Place. Lord aswe live when trouble
rise we run to the mercy seat. Mighty God, nothing is too difficult for You and
so we come to lay it all down, to receive the peace that only You can give
for You are Jehovah shalom. Prince of Peace , Emmanuel - God with Us.
Jesus name above all names. We stand in the need of prayer. Humbly, I
lay the prayer request before you, .. some are troubled on every side, yet
not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not
forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; but You O God make our feet
like hinds feet and renew our strengths so that we will run and not be
weary, walk and not faint. By You Holy Father we can run through a
troop, by You we can leap over a wall. So I cast all of the cares of all
of my friends here, including myself upon You, trusting You to sustain us.
We plead the blood of Jesus and thank You for its application. There are
those who have financial need, spiritual need, emotional need, marriage
difficulties, deliverance from different bondages and sicknesses we lay at
Your feet. Family members who have not accepted Jesus as yet. Save
Lord. Heal and deliver. Hallelujah.. Order our steps in Your word and set a
guard at the door of our lips that we dont drive away those that You are
in the process of drawing to You. We have this treasure in earthen vessels
that the excellence may be ofYou, draw it out Lord. Use us to Your glory.
Gird us to stand. Show Yourself strong in each life Lord. Move like never
before. You spoke that this is a time of transitioning a time of shifting , pass
us not O gentle Savior. Make us to remain a part of the central move of
God . You are Holy Lord. Help each one to answer the call to holiness
and thank You for being ever sofull of grace and mercy, goodness,
kindness and truth. In Jesus name.. amen and thank You Lord..
Gloryyyyyy!
Note: At times, we do not know why things happen the way they do, its at those times that we should cling to Him and pray anyway and all the more. Use this as an opportunity to draw even closer to Him. Continue to trust in, believe on and rely on God for He is Worthy and His wisdom is perfect. HE IS GOD.

Feeling Quiet
The T en Virgins
Now May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight O Lord my Strength and my Redeemer. ...

James 1:22-24 22But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

Matthew 25 The !0 Virgins This parable of our Lord tells the story of ten virgins gone to await the Bridegroom. Five of these virgins were wise and five of them were foolish. The five wise virgins had their lamps and knew they had need of fuel (power) and therefore were equipped with oil. The other five virgins had their lamps and did not bring enough oil. The bridegroom delayed and the five foolish virgins were not prepared. They were out of oil and asked of the five wise virgins who responded "you will have to get yours because if I give to you I may run out myself." The foolish virgins left to get oil and the bridegroom came. I submit to you that all ten of these virgins were Word equipped as the lamps represented the word of God. Lamp equals light or knowledge. The wise virgins had the Word and the essential that the foolish failed to don. The oil is for this purpose - the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our keeping power. He is the fuel that helps us to be doers of the word of God and not hearers only.
He is love, joy , peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness ... We are to bear His character. Jesus did not say when He will return for His church, let us be ready. Let us be equipped. Looking in His Word - the perfect law of liberty and getting dressed in the fine linen which is the righteousness of the saints. We can not get another's Oil. We can not ride off the coat tails of another so let us be NOT drunk with wine wherein is excess but let us be filled with the Spirit of God. That the door not be locked against us but that it be open to us and we may hear: "WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT, ENTER INTO MY JOY."
The word of God says in the days of Noah the people were unaware what time it was - they were still drinking, partying, fornicating all of that as Noah worked to build the ark which pointed to Christ who is our Ark of Salvation. I imagine they probably laughed and said "look at Noah.. it dont take all that." They probably thought he was being a holy roller and just needed to sweep around his own back door. But when the rains came they had no hiding place. Jesus is our Hiding Place. All aboard?

He Deserves The Glory
Where shall I go?
What is my first thought when troubles assail? What is my first action when I am hard pressed on every side? Where shall I go but to the Lord? "Ask and ye shall receive, seek and ye shall find, knock and the door shall be opened.
Now having answered prayer......
What should my next step be? PRAISE!
Psalm 107:8
" O that men would praise the Lord for His goodness and His wonderful works toward the children of men." He does want our praise, our worship, our adoration!
Luke 17:11-17
11Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. 12As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance 13and called out in a loud voice, "Jesus, Master, have pity on us!" 14When he saw them, he said, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed. 15One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. 16He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan. 17Jesus asked, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? 18Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?" 19Then he said to him, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well."
Jesus asked where the other nine were because they all had received a healing and only one had a grateful heart. When God has done so much for me; how dare I not open my mouth and give Him the praise.
John 12:3-7
3Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. 4Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him, 5Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? 6This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein. 7Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.
Mary out of whom Jesus had cast seven devils went to the house and knowing the stares, the persecutions, the criticisms she would receive, Mary got down to true worship. she let down her hair. It didn't matter what people said, thought or felt. Man does not have power to put one into heaven or hell only God has that power. Mary let it all hang out! He saved her from a torment only she understood and she loved Him much. Jesus' response? "Let her alone!"
Luke 7:47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
Psalm 100:1-3
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness, come before His presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord He is God. It is He who has made us and not we ourselves. We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Where do I go from here?
Psalm 34:1
I will bless the Lord at all times, his praises will continually be in my mouth.
Psalm 63:1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; Isaiah 26:9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
I will keep the Lord ever before me, for He has done great things!

7Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
8Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
9Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
10Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
The word of God tells us that God is the Creator and is in control. "Ah Lord God, Thou hast made the heavens and the earth by Thy great power and by Thine outstretched arms . Nothing is too difficult for Thee." ( Jeremiah 32:17) He never leaves or forsakes His own. When sickness comes, finances get messed up, children act crazy, employers act like they are possessed, things just generally dont go as we planned or hoped, we have a God whose eyes are upon us and His ears are open to us so we have no need to hang our heads, but if we do, He is the lifter of our heads. Let us open up our spirits and praise Him today, remembering all the times He has brought us through, all the times He has shown His great love, counting the blessings. If we can look away from the situation TO the Lord Over All, then He promises to come in strong and mighty. The Lord is our Shepherd, why so downcast O my soul? Hope in God who will yet save us!
Blessed Assurance Jesus is mine, O what a foretaste of glory divine. Im an heir of salvation, purchased of God Born of His spirit, washed in His blood.
This is my story, this is my song Praising my Savior, all the day long This is my story, this is my song Praising my Savior all the day long.
To God be all the glory! For great things He has done. His blood was shed at calvary for the remission of our sins. He brought us out of darkness into His marvelosu light. We also have our own individual testimonies. SELAH (pause and think about it) Look what the Lord has done, God Great God!
In His Love, Vee
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Holy Spirit, for Your presence. Thank You that You are grace and mercy and thank You that You are truth and righteousness. Thank You God for balance. Continue to draw us nearer, transforming our minds and thereby our lives; molding us in Your image. We are Your workmanship created to do good works and created to worship You. We give You praise for Your all encompassing love and kindness. Guide our feet and set a guard at the door of our lips. Help us to rightly divide the word of truth and hide Your word in our hearts that we might not sin against You. Abba Father. We commit our way unto You, rolling our every care on You for You never suffer the righteous to be moved. We delight in You and You grant unto us the desire of our hearts. Strengthen us for every good work and make us sensitive to Your voice. Wake us morning by morning giving us the tongue of the learned that we may know how to answer any man. May our speech be seasoned with salt that it minister grace to the hearers. To You be glory and honor and power and dominion and majesty forever. amen

Hearing Ty Tribbet .. Victory
Mix It With Faith
Mix It With Faith

Hebrews 4:2 2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
Mark 4:15 15And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.
In a perfect world we would have no trouble, it would be easy to hold on to the word of God because we would not have the enemy to our soul, the devil, always trying to throw doubt, fears and unbelief at us and in many cases our own carnal mind trying to reason and logic it through. Therefore, we must earnestly contend for the faith and rest upon the promises of God.

The above verses say that the Israelites could not enter into the promise land because they did not mix the word with faith., they could not enter into His rest. In spite of the fact that God provided them safe passage through the red sea and none of them drowned, they drunk water from a rock and had manna falling to the ground from heaven as food, they remained in unbelief. Today, God who 'is the same God today, yesterday and forever' givs us miracles and blessings abundant and when troubles rise we should remember these experiences and grab hold of the word of Godand know that if He did it before He will do it again. We must, in spite of circumstances, find the word (verses) that minister Gods truth to the negative situations we are facing and cut those giants called doubt and fear and unbelief down. These "rocks" are able to bring any of the giants down to the ground. We are not grasshoppers but we are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, MORE than conquerors. When lack appears to come we declare " My God shall supply all my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." "It is the Lord who gives us the power to get wealth." We hold onto that word and do not let go for surely the enemy will try to come and steal the word from our hearts but we "fight the good fight of faith." when that ole adversary, the devil, comes along and whispers "you are not saved " we declare "Whosoever cometh to Jesus He will not cast out" and "the work that He began in us He will perform until the day of Jesus Christ" "nothing can pluck us out of His hands." When friends dont share in your dreams and visions we say " I can do all things through Christ Jesus. " "if God be for me who can be sucessful against me." God is going to get the glory out of this. We mix the word of God with faith and we hold on like a bulldog to a bone because the righteous are as bold as a lion and we have tenacious faith! Ours is no downcast spirit, we are the salt of the earth.
MIX IT WITH FAITH.
John 17:15-17
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
