Feeling Hopeful

WHERE IS A WASTEBASKET ?

WHY HIDE WASTEBASKETS ?

Do you have a Pet Peeve ?

Not only in the home of friends, various other places, look for the wastebasket in which to cast a used kleenex, where is a wastebasket ?

Stuff it in a shirt pocket.

I have been known to ask, where is a wastebasket ? OH. I keep it in the closet. Let me take that to the closet. Immune to Germs ?

I once took a very nice looking wastebasket to Church with me and placed it near the bulletin board(supposedly a permanent donation), coming in from the cold, a few minutes early, standing there reading the bulletin board, used a couple kleenexes and of course made use of the donated wastebasket.

Next week the wastebasket was gone, so I used my shirt pocket.

What can be the Word for It ? Fastidiousness ? Socially Correct ? So unsightly, those wastebaskets, perhaps a relationship to Political Correctness.

We old former country boys are so slow to understand.

I can understand this.  I don't mind tucking one under my desk, but in my kitchen it is there for all to see -- and easily accessible.

Poor Sam!  I promise you could find the wastebaskets at our house!  To me, although these folks think they are keeping unsightly stuff out of sight, they are actually being rude by forcing folks to have to look for them, ask about them, or use their own pocket.  - Barbara
