New AIM Triton version 1.2.5.1

Straylight Run

As promissed, we released a build this afternoon that represents a significant improvement over the previous Triton builds.  This build includes the following:

-  Migration of away messages from aim 5.x to Triton

 -
An exposed Log IM preference under the General IM Settings

-  Away messages accessible from the systray menu via Right-click

-  Custom buddy icons

-  AOL Explorer can now be uninstalled independently from AIM Triton.

You can download the client here.
There is a direct download option here.

Two additional items...
The settings buttons for plugins is still broken.  There was a bug in my code that we did not catch until around 3PM today so the fix will be in the next release.

As always your feedback is appreciated so you can leave comments below.  If you have questions about this release or other AIM matters leave them below as well.  I will be doing a mailbag later this week.

I cant get my instant messagner to work at all. I dont see what I am typing and dont see what the other person is typing.  So it is useless to me. You see the message saying typing. But nothing comes bacl when they hit send. Nor doyou see what you type at all.

Hello ---> here's my constructive critcism:  Why wasn't it written in C++ in the first place? That JS is dreadfully slow. Ads are ads and I don't expect anyone to remove them, but you are in desperate need of better buddy icons (either flash, a major increase in filesize but not scale size, or both) if you want to keep up with Trillian. That's one their next moves (making flash buddy icons). I use AIM because it sends and recieves files. Trillian has issues with that. I honestly think MSN Messenger is a little better but people are never going to switch to it. Trillian is the only threat and not because of what they are now, because of what they're going to be. Thank you and I hope this insight was helpful.
