We Are Live

Well developer.aim.com went live this morning at 5AM EST.  The message boards are open, and you can start requesting development keys.  Each plugin or custom client requires a key to access the network.  You can read how this all works in the tutorials Justin and I wrote that are in the SDK.

I will post some more updates as the day goes on.  If you have any questions start leaving them below or on the message boards.  Justin and I will be reading them.

UPDATE 3/6/2006 903AM PST:
A user asked the following question....
I am trying to compile the cs example, but cannot find AccCoreLib.  Where is this located in the zip?

The answer is to regsvr32 acccore.dll.  That will make it very easy to add the AccCoreLib reference in VS.net.

You know, if you'd done things like this eight years ago, you could've saved a lot people a lot of trouble :)

Is there a good reason you are blocking GAIM and Trillian from using the developer tools? This SDK is attempting to keep AIM locked in despite the growing reality that people, especially outside the USA, are using different networks. Why are you working at a company where the suits are in charge?
