Today was a pre-session day at VON. I spent most of the day in a SIP session going through a refresher course on some SIP basics and some more advanced SIP stuff. It was a nice to compare and contrast SIP and XMPP, and running into some other developers from places like Apple and Verisign.
Tomorrow the conference gets into full gear. I will be posting about Pulver's keynote and we have Jim Bankoff and Jason Calacanis, both from AOL speaking about Live8. One amazing thing so far about this trip has been the snow that happened in downtown San Jose on Friday night and Saturday. Here is a picture of snow on the mountain tops surrounding downtown. Sort of crazy to see snow and palm trees in the same city at the same time.
