Day 3 in China has been very interesting. I have been spending 90% of my work day inside the office, though we have ventured out to some great places for lunch and dinner. I have learned that while Chinese food in the US is obviously very different, there are some places in the US that do serve authentic Chinese cuisine.
Today after lunch, the company turned off all the lights and all the engineers about 350+ people on the floor took a nap in business hammocks. It was such a strange sight, since at AOL after lunch is when the office is at full commotion.
There are many decorations for Christmas up in Shenzhen, but it definitely does not feel like the holiday season, since it is very hot and humid. The strangest sight from my hotel has been the view of the Eiffel Tower and the Pyramids of Egypt. Traveling 8000 miles and looking out of the hotel window seeing the most famous landmark in Paris is quite weird.
At least I could watch the Steelers game today at 915AM via my Slingbox at home. Slingbox is really great when you are on the road, I feel like I miss absolutely nothing in the way of TV. Here are some more pictures of my travels.
