Assuming I do not slide off the road in the next 20 minutes, I am headed down the Austin, Texas this morning for SXSW (SouthBySouthwest). Kevin Lawver, Steve Chipman, Alla Gringaus and Arun Ranganathan will be on a panel titled "How to Convince your Company to Embrace Mashup Culture." The panel is scheduled for 5PM on Sunday, and is a sequel to the panel done last year by the same four people called, How to Convince Your Company to Embrace Web Standards.
We'll discuss what happened at AOL and how that same small group of committed geeks worked from the bottom up to start a developer network, open up AIM, embrace mashup culture, open source, agile development, external developers - and how you can do the same.
So stay tuned for reports from Austin.
