Aviation Enthusiast

The A380 double decker aircraft is landing in Dulles this weekend.  Unfortunately the timing of arrival and departure and really designed to keep it from the public eye.  Sunday's arrival will be sometime after 9PM and it will depart Dulles after 9PM on Monday.  It's a shame back when Concorde landed for the final time to be put on display at the Air and Space Museum, we got an amazing view of it as it soared about 800 feet over our parking garage at work.

The plane will be on the tarmac for 24 hours, so it may be worth it to head over to the Air and Space Museum to view the plane on the tarmac from the observation tower.

Stay tuned for some exciting AIM news next week, we may be fulfilling a most popularly requested item.

Interesting, I was going on the USAToday article about the flight. http://blogs.usatoday.com/sky/2007/03/checking_out_th.html

    Specifically the article mentions:
The aircraft is expected to arrive at Dulles some time after 9 p.m. on Sunday, March 25 and depart some time after 9 p.m. on Monday, March 26.
However, I will be watching closely on Monday at lunch.

Greg, The Dulles website says "A demonstration flight is scheduled for Monday, March 26 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.". Excellent!!!
