I am posting a new version of Ambient Messaging that fixes a few issues in terms of the bounding box calculation to pull pictures from latitude and longitude coordinates. In addition, I added a list box that shows where your buddy's locations are set. As always feedback is nice to have.
A quick tutorial on how to use Ambient Messaging.
- Download AIM Lite 0.32.
- Install the Ambient 0.4 installer.
- Click on the actions menu (the button next to the "WTF?" button)
- To set a location for yourself choose Ambient Prefs
- To view other's locations choose "View Buddy Locations"
- To see pictures in and around your location and your buddies choose "The Flickr Bar"
Happy viewing. Here are pictures geo-tagged at my current location. See if you can take a guess of where I am. ;-)
