Today brought a full day of camp activities with a review of the "organizing principles" of camp by our fearless camp director Kaliya Hamlin. We saw all the mashup competitors give their pitches and we had some really fun sessions posted. Kevin Lawver and I presented on Art and Social Networks which resulted in some interesting theories, that I will spend some time delving into in a future blog post.
One mashup that caught my attention is Chime.tv. The guys who presented it were definitely typical young whipper snappers. Basically Chime.tv is trying to categorize online videos in order to form virtual television channels. The videos come from different feeds and providers. Not sure if these guys are going to win, but Chime.tv at least gives me more content than Joost, the quality of the video is not as good, but in my opinion content is king.
A bunch of people have asked me to post my presentation from Tuesday, and you can download it here.
Last, I know AIM MusicLink is broken right now. Unfortunately I made a mistake and forgot to put the new installer on my laptop so I won't be able to post the fixed version until tomorrow when I am back in DC. I also am hoping we can get a corrected version post to aim.com. I am sorry, I should have posted MusicLink before the AIM release.
