ALERT: There is a new version of AIM MusicLink, please visit my new blog to download it. My new blog can be found here: www.Gregsmind.com. The latest release 2.0.0.4 fixes the issues people are leaving in the comments.
After the feedback I got from the last AIM MusicLink release, I decided to add back the profile support that was in the previous release. I also fixed a few bugs that I uncovered with setting the profile at sign on as well as a bug or two with setting ones status. I also cleaned up the preference dialog as I found a few issues there as well. Profile support is off by default, so make sure you change the preference via the Actions menu at the bottom of the Buddy List on AIM 6.5 or LAIM.

You can download the latest AIM MusicLink here. As always feedback is appreciated.

i have the problem that parn85 diagnosed in his entry....however, upon following the directions dictated in the entry, it did nothing to stop my problem. the song in windows media player is continuing to show, even after media player is shut down. why is this happening?

If you are having the "one song is constantly stuck and reloaded in my status bar" problem
1. uninstall aim music link
2. Go to Start Menu>Run...>regedit
3. Open up your registry folders in this order: HKEY_CURRENT_USER>SOFTWARE>AIM>AIM PLUGINS
4. Delete the "AIM MUSIC LINK" Registry folder
5. Re-install AIM Music Link -
Got the same problem as some people above, using WinAmp 5.5, AIM 6.5, and Windows Vista... cuts off the first letter of the song/artist title when it puts it into your status.
