Everybody Hates Him Too
Now that we are two months into this thing, I decided that it was finally time to write about the show that provided the inspiration for the title of the blog and that hideous photo of myself in the header.
In case you couldn't figure it out by now, ‘Everybody Hates Marcus’ is a blatant rip off of ‘Everybody Hates Chris.’
We were sitting around, pondering a name for this puppy, when Karu F. Daniels came up with the title. Nobody knows me better in the office than Karu so right away I knew the name was genius.
Back to the show - It was created and is narrated by Chris Rock and was a surprise hit last year. I still think it was the best new show from 2005. Now on the CW, young Chris, a year older, is still finding ways to get himself into trouble.
As much as I like Tyler James Williams, my favorite character on the show is Rochelle played by Tichina Arnold.
A ‘ghetto snob’ at heart, I think all our mothers have a little Rochelle inside them. The mere fact that she tries so hard to act like she’s not poor, when deep down, you know she’s broke, is hilarious to me.
I wonder if they will make an episode where Rochelle’s character sues Cracker Barrel for discrimination.
The biggest difference between this season compared to last is the addition of Whoopi Goldberg. Yes, that Whoopi Goldberg.
Goldberg plays Louise, your typical overbearing neighbor that gets on your last nerves and whom Chris or Rochelle can’t stand.
Just in case you didn’t get the memo – ‘Everybody Hates Chris’ is back on Monday nights on the CW at 8pm.

It was late into the first season before I watched EHC. To my surprise, it is a good show. It makes me laugh out loud. This season, I have added it to my "must see" list. I concur, why the bulging eyes? I ain't mad at you, Chris, I just wonder why?

You know what I hate about this show? Look at Tyler William's picture. The idea of blacks being funny by popping our eyes like that went out with Stepin Fetchit. As much as I love Chris Rock, this is not funny.

Bernie Mac I love him, but the show had too many restrictions on it's comedy making Bernie seemed sought of weak. My favorite character on EHC is the mom played by Tichina as she reminds me of my mom growing up, which gives me goose bumps.
