Season 1 of Girlfriends on DVD
Here is a late Christmas gift from me to you.
Somehow this flew under the radar but it was announced last month that Paramount/CBS will finally release the wildly popular show ‘Girlfriends’ on DVD.
The four-disc set of Season 1 will be released on February
27, 2007.
All 22 episodes from Season 1 are included but there are no extras on the DVD.
Girlfriends is a sophisticated comedy series that invites viewers into the lives of four professional African American women living in Los Angeles who are struggling with the weighty issues of life - men, love, money -- and more men. As they search for happiness in all its elusive forms, the four girlfriends rely on each other for support, reality checks, advice and for the laughter that everyone needs to make it in this crazy place we call the modern world.

Girlfriends one of my favorite shows , but I was not able to watch this fall because I work the grave yard shift. Somebody tell me what happened to Toni. I turned on the show during the holidays and no Toni . Someone Please tell me she is coming back.

Got into Girlfriends a couple of years ago and can't stop watching, even the reruns. I agree, bring back Toni. Every group of Sista's had a "Toni", and this group is naked without her. Toni is the DIVA you love to hate, like Erica Kane on All My Children, Ava on Loving, Tracy on General Hospital or Dorian on One Life To Live. This show is good for at least another 2 to 3 years. TPTB (The Powers That Be = producers) need to realize that if the writers have run out of story, hire new writers, there's much that hasn't been tapped yet. The Soaps make this mistake often. You know "Sistas are ALWAYS dealing with DRAMA! Get Toni back. She is the oil for this squeaky wheel! And finally pay these GIRLFRIENDS like you pay FRIENDS! Or at least come close to it. They deserve it!

Outlaw1 you should be. i guess if it is not sex in the city it is not sophisty enough for you. Ypo just don't have a sense of balance. Enough sais to you. it is about time the show gets DVD'd. Love those ladies. I learn a lot more about women watching them and as for Toni; she will be fine!

I heard that Toni left the show on her own. she might have been pregnant for real. but it could have also been for the money. But I also heard that she left because she did not want to do the show anymore and she did not want to be stuck playing that role. Did anyone see her on the Bicardi commercial.
