A Very Rainy Weekend

It has been a pretty miserable weekend, weather-wise.  Otherwise, it's been a good weekend.  But this rain has just got to stop!  There is a lot of  Flooding in the Northern part of our county.  The little creek behind our house got pretty high, but it didn't overflow its banks for very long.  The dogs are miserable because no one has been out to play with them.  At least it has been warm.

It's supposed to be close to 70 degrees tomorrow, but still raining.  Weird weather!  I know there was snow in a lot of places, tornadoes in the Midwest, flooding all around us, hail storms, and still drought and wildfires in South Texas!

But we had a good weekend, and I'll probably talk more about that later.  I couldn't sleep, so I'm up already, and I think I'll just go ahead and go into work.  I can do some of my overtime early and maybe get home at a decent time.

Hope everyone has a good week, and hope your weather is better than ours!

I would love the weird weather as long as I was able to enjoy 70 degree temps. I fear my hands won't though before Mother Nature wakes from her slumber. (Hugs) Indigo

the weather sure has been wild - it has gone from winter to summer to spring - all in one week.

makes you wonder what summer will be like, doesn't it??

It's been flooding around here too. Pigeon Creek used to flood over all the time when I was a kid, but it's been behaving itself for about 10 or so years.  This weekend it made up for lost time.  Flooding houses, highways, fields and roads.  Our house is ok, and since I worked at the local bank yesterday, I didn't have to go through Chandler to get to Evansville. The main road through Chandler is a mess.  That's where I go to watch my Grandkids, so hope the roads are clear up to that point!

And a BIG WHOO HOO for your anniversary!  I had cinnamon toast!  :)

    Stay Dry! God Bless You!

Isn't that always the way it is too much rain or not enough or in our case not any. When and if it does rain we don't have much trouble with flooding even if the river gets out of its banks. Paula

have a good week yourself! I can imagine the dogs would be miserable with the lack of attention and they don't understand why. Hoping it clears up a bit and stops raining for you there.
