Kitty was such a wonderful mentor/surrogate parent during my teen years.  My parents divorced, remarried each other, divorced again and each remarried again (this time other people.)  Kitty's home was a sanctuary during those turbulent times.  She was strict but loving, and she encouraged my goofy, playful side at a time in my life when I took myself all too seriously.  Kitty taught me lifelong skills in working with horses as well.  I will always love her family.  Kitty is also responsible for my love of The King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley.
