Feeling Happy
Hearing the noises of my home settling in for the night

Scrapbooking, Card making and One Stroke  Painting

Scrapbooking, Card Making and One Stroke Painting

Happy mood

listening to the sound of my home settling in for the night

Tabby and I stayed up past two o'clock in the morning watching craft shows on QVC. I tried to get her to go to bed at the regular time but she was wired for some reason. We fell in love with a few scrapbooking kits and she even went so far as to call her dad at work and ask if we could order some card stock. (He said no.) Then we watched Donna Dewberry's one stroke painting and immediately decided that we need to learn to do this to decorate some of the ugly metal file cabinets we have in the home office. I enjoyed her company. It was nice  to sprawl out on the chaise together with the baby tucked in with us, watching these craft shows and offering our opinions.  One of the best things about homeschooling is the freedom it gives us to arrange our schedules around our lives, instead of vice versa.  Because we didn't have to worry about doing anything tomorrow, we had the freedom to stray from our schedule and enjoy each other's company.  She desperately wanted time alone with me.  Last night we sat at the dining room table for about 45 minutes and colored grocery bags together for her Eco-Action GS badge.  I need to make time to spend focused time with her. She thrives when she gets my undiluted attention.
