Hearing cajun "Don't mess with my toot toot"

Mandy's birthday party was a success and a good time was had by all the kids. I did feel very sorry for Mandy when her idol Sean called and said that he could not come to the party (and he had told her the day before he would be there!)  She had tears in her eyes but then bucked up and had a good time. (She's had a crush on this particular person since she was eleven). One adult friend from Aikido gave her a beautiful crystal horse.  She also got a beautiful ring from Dennis and Kathy, and $100 from Grandma Ailene! (She promptly spent it at the Levee the next day. Money burns a hole in that kid's pocket). Devin Bryant gave Mandy the Twister game and several art supplies. She got a darling Hot Topics shirt from the Riesenbergs.  One of the neatest presents she has ever received was a box covered with photos and other mementoes from Rachael and ElyseElyse came in costume (it was originally supposed to be a Mardi Gras party). Weesie had a very intriguing mask made from paper mache and she also wore wings.  Perry was absolutely enchanted by her and hardly left her side.  We were also delighted to see Andrea, Carol and Angelo!  We all agreed Dre is extremely handsome.  I am hoping that Angelo will take my dh David fishing this summer. He is a member of Northern Kentucky Fly Fishers.  We used to belong to NKFF before David went to pharmacy school.  We had a lot of fun.  I was also tickled to see KayCee and her boyfriend and her mom.  They made me want to train in martial arts again (at least as soon as I can quit peeing when I stumble or sneeze. I would be everyone's favorite uke leaking milk and peeing on the mat ROFL). Kenny was there--he is now in a rock band, and still skates (he is a real sk8er boy now.)  Little Emily Riesenberg spent the night. Her broken arm is in a purple cast.  The kids liked the hot tub. They tracked mud all over the house. We really are going to have to think of some kind of pathway to and from the hot tub.  The night was enhanced by the presence of Angie and Sean's two greyhounds--Shy Girl and Dillan...they are bigger than our greyhounds.  Four hounds rushing the door every time someone arrived added a certain ambiance to the party. :-)
