Salsa Dancing at the York Street Cafe

York St. Cafe'

About a month ago the girls and I watched the new Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights movie. Mandy fell in love with salsa dancing. We bought a Ricky Martin DVD at a thrift store, and we shimmy in the van (perhaps a scary thought to some of you).

We found out that a local cafe/theatre/art studio is offering Salsa dancing lessons on Sunday nights at 6:00 PM...and for a nominal donation of under five dollars. They start next week! I was particularly impressed that Mandy made all the phone calls, gathering information about the classes at the York Street Cafe herself. A year ago she would have been reticent to make a call like that. She is growing much more confident.

Salsa, here we come!
