Feeling Happy
Lord of the Rings Party
The girls have been invited to this party. I think that they would enjoy it--especially if they could lure Rachel and Weesie into joining them. The other option is to just hang out at home, since we have a very busy weekend with the Celtic Festival and a reenactment.
Lord of the Rings Birthday Party & Potluck
It's that time again. Sept. 22nd is Bilbo and Frodo's birthday. Last
year, we had a birthday party for them, and it was a lot of fun. I'd love to do that again this year. We will have it on September 24th. We have food (everyone should bring a dish to share), mathoms, and clean up after ourselves.
Now, a note for those who are unfamiliar with what we’re talking about….Hobbits give presents to everyone who comes to their birthday parties. Usually small gifts, and there are some things that have passed through every home in the shire over the years. Gifts which no one knows what they were, or what their use once was are called Mathoms.
Last year, we all brought little gifts to give away - wrapped, so no one would know what's in them. And all the kids left with several little presents. It was lots of fun, and I'd like to do it again, if there's interest.

Well this is a first. I've never heard of a LOTR party, but what a fabulous idea. Does everyone dress the part? ¤Holly
