Feeling Happy

The Village

I suppose you can tell I am updating my resources--beginning with the films and documentaries we have watched this week. Last night I got to see my first movie at a theater in three years! My husband and I went to see The Village.

Mandy and Tabby had walked down to the Levee to see this movie on Saturday with Alex, Tiffany and a bunch of other neighborhood kids. They came home, scared and excited.

The movie did not scare me, at all, but it did make me think. I won't write more, not wanting to be a Spoiler, except to think that in many ways this movie was about terrorism and the effect having an unseen, unknowable enemy has on us.

I *loved* The Village. It creeped me out more than scared me, and it made me think, but I enjoyed it. (*cough* I slept with the light on for three nights...)

I really didn't like the movie when I went to see it....really dissappointed myself since I stayed up to go to a special midnight showing of it.
