Feeling Happy

Camping at Koomer Ridge

These pictures are all from the camping trip last week.  We stayed at the Koomer Ridge Campground in Daniel Boone National Forest. It was the perfect trip--the kids were happy and well behaved, the weather was crisp and comfortable, the campgrounds were all but abandoned so there was lots of privacy, we ate well, and we had great camp fires at night.  Ohhh, the s'mores!  The songs!  The snuggling in the sleeping bags!

On the sad side, I also have pictures of the poor dog that we tried to rescue. He eventually had to be destroyed because his infections were too terrible...

Th caretaker at the campgrounds called to tell me that they found a home for the second stray that showed up after we left. I am considereing a animals food/collar/leash drive to provide some help to these retirees who have big hearts

What great pictures!  The ones of that poor dog are
so sad though.  People just kill me Kas. I can't believe
someone would just abandon that poor animal.  He needed
put out of his misery a long time ago.

Looks like yall had fun....you make a really cute family!  The dog pics are horrible....I hope that the people that did this never get another animal in their grasps.
