Feeling Happy
The outdoor exhibit and museum is chock-full of information about the Ice Age...and about the geographical area of Northern Kentucky. This area has been famous throughout pre-history for the salt licks. Native Americans came here for millinia to gather the salt that flows in the steam. The bogs trapped some of the huge Mastadons, Mammoths, ground sloths and other animals that visited the Lick. Thomas Jefferson knew of this spot and had some of the fossils shipped to him.
