Feeling Happy

Altered Book Mania

Ever since the girls went to the Altered Book class last Thursday they have been obsessed with their altered books--each one has started a couple of them. The dining room has been trashed---reemphasizing to me the need to create some sort of room where they can create stuff and let it sit there. I did try to use the basement, but it is too dark and gloomy for artwork. The gerbil ranch is fine down there, though.

Nothing they are creating looks anything like the ones at the club---they have struck out completely on their own and are taking ownership of the creative process.  I am just supplying rubber cement, scissors, and a huge pile of magazines and photographs.

THe artwork looks wonderful!  I love all the pages they've done.    I have not had time to work no ours since our first class.  I hang my head low.  I am in charge of the class and have been too busy to work on it or to set up our next month class.  Hopefully soon I will email everyone in our group as to possible dates!
