Feeling Sad
Cutter died
Bill Gates has declared American high schools "obsolete." In a Feb. 26 speech to the National Education Summit on High Schools, he said "our high schools - even when they're working exactly as designed - cannot teach our kids what they need to know today."
I've put off writing this entry. It seems too sad to put it down on "paper" and writing it down makes it real. Cutter died a few days ago. He was such a young healthy horse, it is hard to believe he is gone.
Poor Kitty.
She has lost three horses in the past year and a half.
The girls are so sad. I had thought we would get to watch Dee show him and make him a champion. He was a true beauty, with his huge bright eyes and his "Look at Me" attitude. There is nothing quite like an Arab, and he was special.
I will miss him.
The boarding stable where we leased Zach and Moses had no Arabians, so Cutter was the first purebred Arabian Mandy and Tabby had ever known. They are quite special--like Greyhounds, they have thousands of years of specialized breeding and close contact with humans, and it makes them bright, high strung, and responsive.
Shelby was just a tiny toddler, and Cutter would lower his head over his stall door to wuffle at her hair.
Kitty will have a huge herd at the Rainbow Bridge.
