Feeling Anxious

Will Riesenberg

I am still very shaken by how close we came to losing one of our dear friends yesterday.  I've cried twice. This precious picture is our Sweet Will, the apple of the girls' eyes, and the sweetest baby boy I know. I am glad that he just has bruises from his car seat straps.

I gave Laura my dear friend Tom Donnelly's phone number. He is an attorney and an old friend. His wife Sharlotte Neely was my college advisor, was in my wedding, and I was at the hospital when her baby Bridgette was born seventeen--almost eighteen--years ago.  Tom got a good settlement for us when my Dodge Caravan's lift gate collapsed and fell upon me a few years ago...that's how I got my hot tub, the deck, and our hardwood fence.  I am lucky that I was not decapitated.

Life can only be understood backwards, but must be lived forwards.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!  I'm so glad they are ok!!  I will pray for them too.  What trauma to put on her and the kids.  She should look into contacting that lawyer you know .

Yes, call your doctor and demand to get an exam to make sure that you are not dilating.  I think you are probably just stretching and expanding--eventually you might feel like your period is going to start at any time...that is normal...still, early labor feels the same way. They can hook you up to a monitor and see if you are contracting, and check your cervix. I think you are fine, but the health of your baby is too important to take any chances!

If you get a bad backache, call them right away.

Call them now.  Shelby came at thirty five weeks.

Kas, I need your ever wonderful advice on this whole pregnancy thing.  The last four days or so I've been feeling mild cramping in my cervix and groin area as well as in my lower back.  Do you think I should bother my doctor with it?  I think I may be a little dialated as well.  (yes I know what it looked like pre-pregnancy and it appears to be a little larger than usual but not more than 2cm)  I'm only 33 weeks and getting worried that this little boy is going to try to come a little early.  What do you think?
I was very glad to hear that everyone was ok in the accident by the way.  I can only imagine how scary it must have been for them, especially with little Will in the car.  I would've panicked for sure.

I'm so glad they were OK.   He's a beautiful baby!  You just never know when tragedy is going to strike.  Sometimes life seems unbearable when I think about it all.
