Rats!  We have rats all over the place!!

We are getting two of our adolescent rats ready to go to their new home this week, so we are handling them a special amount. They are very sweet little creatures. For the life of me, I cannot understand why they have such a hated reputation. They are clean, intelligent, and quite affectionate. None have ever bitten us.

The two rescued rats were carrying some interesting genes, and so we have babies that a solid colored, pied, Dumbo eared and regular eared, particolored eyes, red eyes, and brown eyes.  It is a quick lesson in genetics for the girls.

I have a boy on my bus who goes to alternative school for his behavior problems, he calms right down and acts very motherly when he brought his rat to school one day.  they are great pets! rose

I had a pet rat named Martin during my late teens.  I loved that guy and took him many places with me.  I think he enjoyed riding in the car and being out in the yard with me.  I set up a swing for him in my bedroom and would place him in it and rock him to sleep.  Rats make very nice, clean pets!

I had a pet rat once. It was a sweetheart. Used to carry it around with me in my pocket. It would scare the----- out of people when it would climb up on my shoulder. It had a sad demise involving an angry person.

I never thought I would say this, but those rats are really cute! I have never seen white rats before now. How old is your daughter with the new diamond ring? She is very pretty!
    Hugs,
    Stace
