Upcoming Homeschool Field Day

MAY 13TH

Let's Have a Field Day Friday
10 AM to 2 PM
Organizer – Laura Riesenberg
Field Day will now be held at MIAMI MEADOWS PARK located at 1546 State Route 131 in Milford.
Thanks to Andrea Conrad, we found out that we can reserve the shelter area there for FREE s
ince she is a Miami Township resident.  How great is that??
The one thing my oldest children miss about being in school was an end of the year event the school call "spirit day".  The kids were divided onto multi-aged/multi-grade teams and they competed throughout the day in events like balloon relays, skateboard "surfing", football toss, etc.  At the end of the day, the winning team ended up with some candy and everyone had a great time.  Even though Brett was NEVER on a winning team, it is his best memory from his days in school.  Brett, Hannah and Emily want to help recreate this funfilled  day for their homeschooling friends.   Join us  for a day of fun and games.  The children will be divided into teams and they will complete fun activities (think this like ball tosses, relay races and the like).  I am open for suggestions for games and for how to divide teams!   Pack a picnic lunch.  We will take a break about 11:30 so that everyone can refuel!   RSVP to theriesenbergs@cinci.rr.com with your childrens names and ages.  We will need teens to lead each group and keep things in order.  Please let me know if your children need to be on the same team (the Riesenberg children will be divided up!).   I will need some families to "host" stations in the event.  The more families that can help, the bigger the event can be.  Contact me at theriesenbergs@cinci.rr.com and let me know if you can help.  Also we will need stopwatches/timers the day of the event, let me know if you have one you can bring!  Don't forget sunscreen and waterbottles!
