Feeling Happy
Grassy Run Historical Reenactment tomorrow :-) Men in Kilts...yumm...

This will be Mandy Mae's fourth year at Grassy Run, a local reenactment of a battle between the Shawnee and the white invaders of their land. It is a great deal of fun. Mandy, Tabby and Shelby will be in costume. I have opted out of re-enacting this year because I do not have a costume of my own that makes subtle breast feeding possible....and Shelby is not subtle.
I enjoy going to Grassy Run because I have a thing for men in kilts. If my husband would only indulge this wee penchant of mine, I would make it well worth his time. So far I have been unsuccessful in convincing him that with his Scottish heritage that he should wear a kilt for me.
Entertainers There are very many different entertainers, from the White Oak Native American drumming group, our own Clan Desdin Scottish re-enactors. a couple there as Simon Kenton and his wife, Appalachian story tellers, dulcimer players....it should be wonderful.
Except, it always rains. Tomorrow it is supposed to hold off until evening. Mandy will be staying the whole three days. The little bairns and I will be going home at night.
The food is incredible...handmade bread and pies cooked over an open fire...

My hubby torments me constantly with reenactments. I am glad you enjoy yours. I do enjoy taking the pics of them, but he stays forever.
