Feeling Happy

Daddy's birthday, gardening, Jesus Christ Superstar and rehabbing

Things have been downright blissful around here today. The two surviving bunnies are doing much better on my regimen that includes nursing them every two hours. They are round and healthy looking, and not so dehydrated that their skin stands up in folds.

We spent the day working out in the yard. David is building us a raised wooden walkway for the back garden. It is all mulched and the wood matches the deck. It looks nice.

We planted and mulched all day. It was pleasant and calm. I planted some veggies in containers.

Rachael and Weesie stopped over last night to talk about the play and the level of committment the girls will make to be in it. While they are interested in being in the play, practise for six days a week for over a month means that we will not be able to go to our Big Toe River camp for over a month, that we will not be able to go out of town for our planned trip on my twentieth wedding anniversery the first week of August, and that Mandy will have to break some of her previous committments to the reenactors.  We will have to weigh all of these things carefully...

I do adore Jesus Christ Superstar..

    Happy Birthday to your hubby!

Your pigeon is adorable!!  I'm a bird person.  I love pigeon colors, they are beautiful.  We get them here in our town a lot, and sometimes they don't want to move out of the road when we are driving in town lol.  I think they are neat.

When my nephew Chris was about Tabby's age he also believed that no tree was too tall. Drove my sister crazy. The only time he ever broke anything he started out with both feet firmly on the ground. :-) We used to joke that we had four dishwashers-mom, me, Robbie and Colleen.

The house is over a hundred years old. It had no cabinets at all originally. We just put the cherry cabinet and granite top in a few years ago. Those are the only cabinets in the whole kitchen. The rest are free standing hutches, which is more traditional. :-)  The floor is still a mess (abestos tiles) and we are planning on removing those and either putting in a hard wood floor , slate or tile...  Anything that is period appropriate.
