Feeling Happy
Hearing Brother Bear soundtrack (Phil Collins)
Wee hours of the morning
Tabby walked up yesterday and shoved her armpit in my face. "Smell!" Her armpit was mildly stinky. She was so proud that she is beginning to stink. She used Teen Spirit proudly. Only one pit smells, a fact that fascinates her and she brings up repeatedly. I am glad she finds her body so interesting and has no shame about normal functions.
I just finished the five am feeding of all my fur babies, both bunny and gerbil. They are so sweet and sleepy when I first scoop them out of their nest boxes...then they get very enthusiastic and frantically paddle with their forelegs while they nurse. After I wash their faces and piddle their bottoms, I tuck them in with fur collars that I have found at thrift stores. I buy old coats with fur collars and remove them to use as blankets for baby animals.
Tabitha had a funny experience with Butterball Bunny. She was dozing on the pull out couch with the baby sleeping on her chest. (We practice attatchment parenting with our fur babies LOL). She was sleeping nude, and suddenly the baby bunny found her nipple and latched on. Since they have four teeth, it was a bit of a wake up call. She keeps laughing about it.

Ha! I hope Butterball didn't put Tabitha off of breast feeding one day. ;-)
