Hestia Homeschool for Young Wild Women

I really wish that the AOL mood selections were broader--or allowed you to fill in your own mood.  I'd have to say that tonight was poignant and the mood was bittersweet.

The Homeschooling  Prom is tonight--complete with a wonderful catered dinner, after prom at Laser Light Bowling until 2:30 AM, and then breakfast at IHOP...I don't expect her home until four or five.

After having her hair put up in a French Twist, putting on high heels, donning a fancy dress she bought shopping with her daddy...my tomboy was transformed into a beautiful young lady. Tonight will be the first date she has ever been on past midnight.

My little girl is growing up.

I could not help thinking of her dead birthmother. I am sure Anne is smiling down from heaven, as touched by this transformation as I was.

  There is a glow the emmanates from Mandy, not only is she outwardly beautiful but you can see into her heart...she's lovely.  Great pics.  Mom, don't you just love that she's growing up....as much as you wish she didn't have to?  Thanks for sharing with us!

  Ohh.....she looks just beautiful....glowing...you must have been so proud...thank you for posting the photos...sounds like a great time ending with Ihop for breakfast...what could be better.  :-)

  Ohhhh...she looks so gorgeous! I LOVE those black-and-white photos, and I have to say that Mandy growing up is a concept I have more or less been bent on ignoring for a while but...wow. Little Mandy. :-) She looks beautiful.
