a note from Rachael about the Scarlet Pimpernel

Hi, Kas--I've been trying to get a hold of you via phone but I keep
getting the machine, so I thought I'd try e-mailing you.

The Scarlet Pimpernel (the musical) is showing at Xavier University
Thursday through Sunday. I want the girls to see it because they've
never really seen it on stage and it's the BEST SHOW EVER. And they
seemed interested in seeing it too. It would probably be $15 for Mandy
and $12 for Tabby. It's showing at 8:00 PM Thurs-Sat, and 3 PM on
Sunday. The only day we have that fits everyone's schedules is Friday,
but if Friday doesn't work for you guys, we can think of something.

PLEASE let them come! I miss you guys! Plus--it's educational! First,
because it's based off of a book (well, a series of books), and second,
because it's about the French Revolution. You could do a whole unit
about the French Revolution. You could watch Les Mis, because Liam
Neeson's in it, and movies with him are always worth watching, and
various incarnations of Pimpernel. There are a lot of them.

Anyway, yeah. I know at this point it's kinda short notice, but I told
the girls about it a while ago (I'm *sure* they told you straightaway),
and I've been periodically leaving notes on my LJ. I would love it if
they could come!

Regardless, I do miss you guys. We should get together and watch a
movie or something sometime. Or do the writing group again. Or
something.

Call me (I work till 2:30 tomorrow and will probably be up till 11 or
so) or e-mail me, or I could stop by after work tomorrow, or you could
leave a note on my LJ. Maybe I'll just stop by, but I feel intimidated
by the gigantic swarm of children you mentioned on your journal at some
point. :-)

Love,
Rach

Did A&E do a version of the Scarlet Pimpernel?  I have not read it, either but do seen to remember seeing a movie/series on TV.
