Feeling Sad
The Stanford Prison Experiment: A Simulation Study of the Psychology of Imprisonment This absolutely spellbound me. I remember studying about this psychological experiment when I was in college, but this slide show type website reads like a good novel. More importantly, it is extremely revelant for what is happening in Iraq with the torture of our Iraqi prisoners. What situations create monsters out of good people? When I recover from this bug---and my tiara time--I plan on spending a rainy afternoon with my daughters reading this and doing the wonderful discussion explorations at the bottom of each page. This might help arm them against the herd mentality should they ever find themselves in a situation of complete power over another human being.
