Pain in the Butt
When it rains, it pours.
Someone (we think it was a neighborhood kid) opened our back gate and stole Tabitha's new bike. Since we have a six foot high wooden privacy fence, I am sure it is a kid that knows her. She noted wryly that they left the helmet. We are the only parents around who make their kids wear bike helmets.
My favorite antique rose chair was in pieces when I woke up. No one will fess up.
The air conditioning went on the blitz at our old house--two thousand dollars at least to repair.
Sigh.
Still, having had a full and interesting life, I know these are all minor things. A pain in the butt, but not a crisis.

Did you get the a/c fixed? I can give you my step-nephew's (my brother's stepson) info....don't know if he goes into KY, but he was far more reasonable than anyone else.....

*gasp!* I can't believe someone had the gall to go into the back yard and take the bike like that! Unreal!!! I hope you spot it and can get it back.

MOm and Dads air went out too. the poor construction workers that are working on the house man they must have been dying in this heat. yes when it rains it pours even when the workers get in the mess and fixing things things still break.
