Feeling Hopeful

working on the logistics of it all

I wash my hands of those who imagine chattering to be knowledge, silence to be ignorance, and affectation to be art. ~Kahlil Gibran

We have been cleaning and moving furniture around to make room.  We cleaned out an armoire for Darren's clothes, and he has been bringing things here as needed from his grandfather's house. His grandfather just lives on the next street over.

So far Darren has been sleeping on the fold out couch.  Last night Tabitha and Darren started off sleeping out on the deck, but a storm blew in and they ended up sleeping in a big pile of kids, kittens and dogs in front of the fireplace. It melted my husband's heart. He came upstairs just beaming.

Tabby's girlfriend Courtney has been staying with us the past two days as well, since their gas and water was shut off.  She is also being raised by her grandmother.  So many children need so much love. I wish I could save the world, but I will just try to help this little corner of it.
