Feeling Happy

baby ratlings

While browsing through all my online pictures I found these digital photos of our baby rats...now they are huge but still sweeter than ever...I am always promoting them as pets because they are such misunderstood and maligned animals.  In truth they are sweet, intelligent, very affectionate and much smarter than mice or gerbils.  I can not imagine a "ratless" life now.  Every time we walk into the room they live in they climb up on the cage and rear up on their back legs, wanting only to be petted and scratched. When they get loose, they come when called!

Skunks must be pretty sweet to be sweeter than a ferret! *wink*

Skunks are even sweeter than ferrets, and there is a rescue organization for them. Ours uses a litter pan!

I desperately want a ferret, but the husband seems to think they have the same reputation as the rat.  When we go to the pet store I am always saying 'Look at this sweet little thing curled up in my arms....does it LOOK scary or vicious to you?!'  ...  ::amy clicks her tongue::  Some day...  <g>  although his curiosity was peaked that you have a skunk... He seems taken with her...hee hee...
