We are still enthralled and agag with the possibility that we MIGHT BE GETTING A HORSE!!!!

I have to say, that ever since The Molester wrecked our lives, followed by the three surgeries, our family has been struggling. But the thought of a horse has made all the female members of the family thrilled beyond words.

We have learned that our prospective horse is a seven year old gelding, a purebred Baskir Curly whose bloodlines trace back to Custer's Last Stand, he is very chunky and about 14' 3" hands tall, palomino, and he has a mane and tail (many Curlies shed their manes and tails every year). His name is Stormy. The girls will bring pictures of him home from vaulting.

If Stormy is not what we want, then she has a mare we may be interested in.  She says his major conformation fault is his back is too long.

CONGRATS!!  I hope it all works out on your new addition!! I wish you lived closer to us, my mother in law is starting up her horse boarding business on 90 acres, it's been a long, hard journey, but well worth it.   I will have to get some pics of it for you and the girls, it's a beautiful place, and their horses are so wonderful, I love horses and their souls, and gazing into their eyes, I'm not much of a rider though :(  Not yet lol.

Take care, been thinking about you!!

The outside of a horse is good for the inside of a (wo)man!  I think that is the quote.  Beautiful pictures by the way.  One of my great horse loves was a nut case named Dancer.  She reminds me of the top horse.  I had to have someone hold her when I mounted and we always started at the trot, never the walk.   I forgot my gloves at a show with her and wore bleeding blisters on my fingers during those two classes.  Didn't place, big surprise!
