Martin Luther King quote

Nonviolence means avoiding not only external physical violence but also internal violence of spirit. You not only refuse to shoot a man, but you refuse to hate him.
Martin Luther King, Jr

I will occasionally use the word 'hate' as in 'oh I hate when that happens', but the truth is, with all the slams I've taken in the last bunch of years, I just don't have it in me to hate anyone.  Period.  I might not like them, I might not trust them, but I cannot hate them.  I'm not sure why, but I think I learned long ago that hating someone eats at me more than them.  The emotional energy spent on hating someone can be put to better use in my life.

    Just my thoughts...rambling on ....

Extremely simple, but also extremely difficult. As dipping your toes in any chat room proves too often.
